Just to clarify the ND show off. This is not really a single sided effort. Rather, in my experiences, when the girl showed off, I would show my appreciation by continuing to try to meet her (arranging repeats), which was essentially what I could do since I couldn't analyse things when they happened. When I showed off, the girl would show her appreciation in some way, which varied over time. My activities were driven by getting feedback, and when this didn't happen, I'd wait for feedback before I did something more. When nothing happened for a while, the girl would typically do something to trigger me again so the game could continue.
