I’ve never gotten why,Mark Twain said the fruit in the garden of Eden could not have been a ripe watermelon or Eve would not have repented.I wouldn’t have,if you can hear that certain crack sound on a fully ripe melon, there ain’t no repenting.Nothing is bettet.

It sounds to me that these people are just being bullies. I have had people complain about all of aspie qualities. And complain that I make them look bad. I believe that is one of the biggest problems people have with us. So they bully us to make themselves feel better.

I'm cool with it. I actually prefer it to "cute".

But to get back on topic, I prefer the Colonel's nephew Lee, and his Famous Recipe Chicken B)

Oh for christs sake,we all eat the hell out of watermelons. It was a rite of passage to steal them from fields. How it got stereotyped onto the black community I don't know, maybe becuse watermelons came from Africa.Along with the other good food ,okra and feild peas,so thank you Africa for providing me with all this jam up good food.

They were frequently grown in the south and slave owners often did not feed their slaves adequately, so the slaves would often supplement their diets with what they could steal from the plantation food crops, and it was easier to take a watermelon without it being noticed than a chicken or pig. Thus was born the stereotype that African Americans have a particular liking of watermelon. There was also a stereotype at the time that black people didn't like beef. But what did slave owners care what foods their slaves liked? They didn't. Slaves, when given meat, were often given pork rather than beef because salted pork preserved better in the days before refrigeration.

/\Watermelon seeds were brought over by slaves and cultivated by them first.

My wife said back in 2011 when we first met that I looked like Paul Newman, the famous actor, because of the blue eyes, etc. Laughed at her and said you gotta be kidding me. She's still mesmerized with them seven years later, so what do I know?

Beauty is in the eye of the holder.
One persons trash is anothers popere.
Rolls eyes enough with the cliches

And we aspie men try. We always try to have dapper looks and striking eyes.

True.... I am 50 and have been told I look in my 30s. Glad I don't have the "Doogie Howser" look (being in my 20s or early 30s and told I look like a kid).

No Angela, I disagree with you on this point. Only women can be beautiful!

It is like Elaine Bennes has said: "a woman's body is like a work of art; a man's body is like a jeep. "

As a musical term for sure, "the '80s" imply the late '70s and early '90s. You can think of them as tapers of this golden decade.
