Around $800 monthly for new renters , those who were under an old rental agreement (prior 1992) paid much less due to a law to protect tenants, aka known as the “old rent” law — a law that was introduced in 1992 after the end of the civil war. They froze all rental agreements signed before this date, which do not take into consideration inflation, the increase in rental housing market, and the local pound collapse during war year. But now this law is being gradually revoked by a new law, so people who were paying like $100 a month are gonna pay like $1000 a month in 6 years, I'll expect a lot of homelessness since most of those are old people with little support...

I live in a poor city and our rent is $1000 for most apartments and houses.
Almost 1500 I hear in Eugene and way more In Portland.
I dont know how much longer people will be able to live in my state, wage stays the same. Rent and other expenses keep climbing.
