Personally I don't want to be Alpha Male, and I especially refuse to be at the bottom of the pecking order.
However as someone brilliant here at WP pointed out refusal to take parti n this "game" is seen by others as a threat. Humans are social creatures so here comes an AS who doesnt want to play the reindeer games and hes a danger to the social organization.
I wish I could remember who pointed that out to me but it made sense of my whole life. I wasnt picked on because i was different or inferior it was because I was being antisocial and socialiability is LIFE to humans.
