Most female gamers don't play WoW. They prefer Solitaire, The Sims and mobile phone games.

That kinda goes with what ToadOfSteel and I were discussing earlier. Guys are generally more vocal about their gaming-ness than girls are.

Ahh, Morrowind... I pissed away 1000+ hours of my high school career on it, and I loved every minute of it...

As for online games, I would never use one as a dating service... Male:Female ratio is too high (as others pointed out), not to mention that I prefer to play online games with people I already know... I stopped playing WoW because all my friends stopped and there was no one for me to go raiding with...

I was an old school D&D guy, but the last CRPG game I played was "Morrowind".

Is it possible to meet women interested in dating on WoW?
It might be more cost-efficient (not cheap!) than going to the bar or Starbucks a couple of times a week AND I would be more likely to meet a woman more like me.

anything's possible... i wouldn't play the game unless you enjoy it... there are way more guys than girls and unless you're in a guild where people talk to each other over audio servers all the time... it's hard to meet people imo... the general written chats are not a dating service by any means... but in my guild, we've had some love connections... as i said, we often got together in IRL too... so if you try, pick a server in your timezone.

Advice accepted. I don't think I have time, but it might be worth my while to find some gamer girls somewhere in my neighborhood.

Edit: Urgh, that was completely off-topic, for I am a man. I get so wrapped up in myself, I might as well make a coat out of my own skin. I could as well... in myyyyyy MUD!

I'm a hardcore gamer, lol
so I think your statistics on the matter of female gamers is accurate, at least here in Utah.
I have an Xbox 360 bag slung over my shoulder and am most of the time I am wearing a t-shirt that has an old-school gaming referance, When I am trotting through the mall, more often than not girls will know and pick up the referance faster than most guys wearing something similar! lol

So I believe the statistics,
Oh, and I totally dig a chick who can whoop my ass in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, lol

I think we can all dig a chick that beats us at our favorite games... For me, it would be Tetris...

It's my dream to find a girl who not only tolerates games but actively enjoys them. I know they exist, I'm on a few forums and they are there, but as has been said they seldom seem to live locally. I do know one who lives about 20 minutes away which is about as near as it gets, apparently.

Being in my 30s probably doesn't help though. It seems that if older women are into games it tends to be stuff like The Sims or Brain Training on the DS, ie not games as such. You wouldn't be able to have a debate about the Dreamcast, for example.

Still, I live in hope. She's out there, she has chipped/import consoles, regularly imports stuff, knows more about games than me, in fact is doubtless more hardcore than me, which would make me play more.

You need to know where to look.

I'm a gamer girl, and I am in networks with hundreds of 'em. Most of them hot ;)

Want me to hook you up?

I would have wanted it, if I were into online dating... the only "gamer girl" I knew in life was also so weird she made me look normal...
