Why would anyone go to Iceland? To taste the rotten shark meat?

Who needs boats or fishing nets when you have an axe?

Vikings are awesome by default, they are like pirates. Everyone likes pirates except their contemporaries.

Oh I'm sorry if those birds are causing so much trouble with dead bugs...hope it doesn't happen too often. What specie is it?

Anyway, my grandma is dead, but practices like that one are considered "normal" for the rural parts here. Dogs on a chain for all their lives, kittens killed like that, if you care about such things you're not considered "normal".

that's cool if they can navigate like that :) i heard some claim they have an internal compass which can sense earth's magnetic field.

Strip mining sounds horrible :?

that should be illegal. poor kittens.

perhaps. It'd explain how they know which way is north.

Somehow bunnies are a bit less piratey than cats.

This is the documentary I saw on Doggerland, it's an episode from Time Team called Britain's Drowned World.

I generally don't eat bunnies. I think I ate rabbit once with Christmas. I remember seeing our cat eat a rabbit, the cat ate almost everything, just the tail was left.

Nature is cruel, and eating any kind of meat will have some part of cruelty in it. I remember a crab fisher saying "if you grab them by the leg, sometimes their leg will fall off" and then he picked up the crab by its leg. :(

That black rabbit is bigger than the cat! Maybe he will eat the cat.

For me eating rabbits would be like eating cats…
Yes I realize that nature is cruel, still think that people are crueler than any other animals, with our brains we should know better. I found a baby deer last week, still wonder what happened to the poor thing…
But I understand, eating an animal that you haven’t had as a pet is a lot easier than eating a non pet kind.

Haha I think the cat is safe from being eaten :D

The baby deer was dead?

A lot of awful things happen in nature, I once found a mouse that was paralysed because it had been not-quite-killed by the cat. You just know it won't survive so I killed it, felt pretty bad about the whole thing.

It is cute to see that some animals get along, I remember there are some chimps that had cats or dogs as pets.

It must have been I really just found the leg, nothing else, did not see a body luckily. So maybe the baby deer was killed elsewhere and the leg was taken away by some animal? I don't know...

Poor mouse, I understand, it is strange though when you think about it that some people feel bad about killing mice whilst other enjoy killing animals. Urgh we live in a really strange world. I like watching animal pictures but unluckily you sometimes se then see pictures of killed animals posed with guns and so on. I just don't get it. I understand hunters that kill animals when there are to many of a certain kind with no natural enemy or when they kill animals that have been hurt. But for sport...never

I love it when you see animals of different species being friends, getting along, it gives me hope for the world :)
