I dont think I have lost water, Im pretty sure it is fat. I have lost most of the "muffin top" I had and now it is more like a small tyre...

I know when I can get back into my 2009 jeans I will be happy :) .

Get out. She's putting you through this after only two months? Disrespectful.

I'm in the same situation. Been dating a girl for 6 years. In the last year and a half she's ballooned up by 30 pounds. I kept my mouth shut for 6 months waiting for her to go back to how she was. Now my friends ask me what's wrong with our relationship. They know there's something off when one partner gains a ton of weight. It's embarrassing because people assume we have all these emotional problems. Finally we joined a gym together and she lost maybe 10 pounds - but it's barely noticeable. She takes an antidepressant so I think this is the main source of the weight gain I'm miserable because I am no longer sexually attracted. The only thing keeping me around is that I love her as a person. But we don't have sex very often anymore. Girls have made passes at me and I turn them down because I couldn't bare to cheat, but I'll admit I'm tempted because I don't get the goods at home anymore. It's not painted red, but it's Hell. Head for zee hills!!

Im not sure she really needs to go to the gym. In fact, she could easily lose about 180 pounds of useless weight by just ditching you.

Pretty much, he sounds pretty useless if you ask me. Its likely a troll account though, it only has one post. If it's not, god, EWWW gross he's lucky anyone will touch him with a 10 foot pole.

I know, he seems like a real "catch"- NOT. Probably is a troll... made me pretty mad though, as i have put on weight over the last 2 years...

If you do not find her physically attractive enough and are not sufficiently emotionally attracted to her such that you are happy in the relationship, then break it off.

Stop wasting your time and her time.

There is no gold standard for "better" in terms of partners. It's a personal thing, so your friend doesn't know what he's talking about. Better for you is just someone who you are sufficiently attracted to one way or another.

Im trying to lose weight at the moment. trying to lose 20 pounds, have so far lost about 5 pounds, diet is going well though it is a strange sort of diet which involves eating cake every day and exercising quite a bit, mostly core and weight bearing exercises. I find I am putting on muscle, my clothes are getting bigger but not much has showed up on the scales....

Your waist circumferance is far more important then what you actually weigh in terms of your risk for health complications. It's also a far better indicator of "Sustained" weight loss.

5 pounds can simply be excessive water that has drainned from your body tissue. Not to put a downer on your good work or 'ought

I've read that abdominal fat is the most unhealthy kind to gain,
which kind of makes me wonder about people like myself- I'm quite overweight and yet have a completely flat stomach.
(Picture Jessica Rabbit...to the extreme. 8O)
I've been up to 215, back down to about 175 now, not to toot my own horn (TOOT, freakin TOOT) and never got a tummy-
wonder how much I'd have to gain to get one. :P

I don't wanna speak for Zen Mistress, but I'm thinking she's smart enough to weigh herself at a similar time during the day,
when she's been to the little girl's room already.

Well, I rarely weigh myself at all. It is kind of pointless, especially when you do weight-bearing exercises, the scales end up not moving. When you lose water however, it does show up on the scales, as water is pretty heavy in itself.

Yeah, I am the sort who puts on weight on the torso only, my legs and thighs are only a little bigger, it is all around my stomach and the top of my hips mostly, ... not good healthwise... :?

I don't eat properly for days then binge, and thats why I gain weight. I am obsessed with being attractive looking because of society's pressure.

Yeah, I kind of eat as sort of a stim, have awful sweet cravings that take over my brain. I guess societal pressures are there too but they dont bother me as much as other probs I have.
