Maybe it's a guy thing - but that's about as far from "adorable" and as close to "badass" as one gets. Without invoking the divine power of the big block, anyway.

I did have a friend with an LS1 swapped Mazda Miata, though. Very cute car, until this mysterious force would snap your head back into the roll cage and attempt to make you and the seat one entity.

^^^
I'd prefer the velvet glove over the iron fist exemplified by the Mercedes-benz 450 SEL 6.9, a rocket on plush ultra lux wheels, posh express.

My only problem with European automobiles is that I actually like to drive my vehicles, instead of moving the shifter and making noises while it sits on jackstands

(sorry, but Porsche ownership has left me bitter :P )

if only I had lots more moolah I'd be addicted to the smooth quiet rush of the benz.

I am single and old too :)
I used to like cars more than shoes but then I learned about CO2 emissions and polar bears are cute in spite of being complete bastards, so now I like shoes better. Unless we are talking tesla roadster or at least Nissan leaf. And maybe my knees still buckle a bit every time a Ferrari comes by. But i am not a petrol head. I like handbags over cylinders and make up over torque.

and I don't actually like driving, it is not a safe thing for dreamers to have to do

I like comfortable things both on my feet and under my butt. :D

Auntblabby, I had one of the 4.3L V8 Benz mini-SUVs for awhile (one of their first collaborations with Chrysler). Bought it 10 years old for next to nothing, and it did pretty well for 3 years (and was hella fun to drive), but then I got nervous about all its known weird electrical/electronic issues (and no MB mechanic within 250 miles), so I traded it for a 'Murican pickup (I need the pickup anyway, since I have a small--very small--farm).

I do find most animals totes adorbs, however, including polar bears. ;)

I coulda gotten one of those luxe benz SUVs for fairly cheap about a decade back. but I didn't like leather upholstery and sunroofs [the former slippery and sticky in the heat, and the latter robbing this tall guy of 2" of precious headroom] so I passed. I wouldn't mind a luxe AWD SUV or AWD compact pickup one of these days when my ship comes in.

My favorite luxury car is the Infiniti Q45 The earlier models come stock at 276 hp and have no limiter te later models were at 345 hp all came with v-8s and you can get one for 8 grand or less if your lucky hehe seen a 1995 for sale for $2500 on craigs list! Those Infinities are sweet. Wish I could drive a car where I live, would cost a lot less to keep me in reliable wheels! There's so much more variety among cars than there is in SUVs/pickups. Sadly, I need the 4WD and high ground clearance where I live so I can get to work in the wintertime.

But if MY ship ever comes in.......building a 12-car garage is the first thing that will happen, then I'm gonna spend about a year filling it up. :D
