While some people are just better looking and they have more success because of that. Take a look at the experiments they do on lookism where they create a fake profile with a male model in the girls are practically throwing them selves at him. My only advice to you is go to the gym get lean and buff get some plastic surgery if you have the money and you'll stand a fighting chance.

But now most students will be younger than you.

i would just avoid doing something irreversible, for the sake of merely increasing chances. :|

Are you talking about what I think you're talking about?

That wouldn't bother me if my partner was a decade younger than me but what I meant was - I could have met my partner at university when we were both 18 or 19.

probably not? that was in response to the other guy's suggestion of getting plastic surgery.

what were you thinking of?

I certainly wasn't thinking of plastic surgery.

I thought you were going to suggest I go to university.

Whether or not to has been my recent obsession, as you've already observed.

Wow I didn't see that thread. I don't really like your views, they look very elitist and judgemental... :o

Edit:I know thatyou apply these views to yourself too and they make you feel bad, but you should just stop thinking such things. There are millions of people who don't go to university and they even make less and you, and I don't think that makes them losers. So just stop thinking such things and don't worry.

I'll try to stop thinking so negatively.

It's really hard for me to be an elitist and an underachiever at the same time.

Actually I'm not an elitist because I believe that all people are capable of accomplishing those things, not only the elite.

I don't think you are an underachiever. Perhaps you just are in dating, as you only had a few relationships that didn't last much, but otherwise I don't think you are.

I meant elitist for thinking that someone without a degree and a high-paying job is a loser.

You should give yourself a break. :P

I'm trying to. Forgiving myself is surprisingly difficult but I think I'm making progress.

That is the wrong approach. Forgive what? I don't think you have anything to forgive yourself.

Having a girlfriend isn't always a pleasant experience.

yeah.

cuddles and an occupied passenger seat are nice, but i could totally go without the awkwardness that comes from our families meeting each other. among other things.
