If you are really that concerned with how you look then go work out. Personally, working out gives me alot of confidence and for some reason I can interact better with people afterwords. But the main thing any of us should be concerned about is understanding body language.

Like other people've said, I think it's about the same as the "NT" crowd. Adults tend to say I'm "handsome", though on average....I get "average" from my peers (no pun intended). I'd say I'm average looking. My hair really doesn't like to behave. At all. You also gotta hate it when your relatives make you pose for cheesy pictures with your cheesy graduation cake. Click on that link if you want to see me (if you dare :P )

Sadly true. :P

Hell, I just wish they were
enough to make up for my
lame abilities to do small talk.

Hey, maybe this explains why I only tend to be successfull with women who are drunk, they are to far gone to notice or even care about the subtleties of social behaviour, they just see something that looks nice and grab it, many a time Ive been grabbed and snogged in my younger pub-going days.

Trouble now is I no longer have that regular pub I felt comforatable in, in fact I never go out socially at all now.

Perhaps it more a case of that they don't seem to look as odd as they act? :)

Unfortunately, I react poorly to just being
grabbed. I usually hit.

Plus, age does take it's toll. Though, I probably
look more reasonable now, than when I was
very young. Still, I'm well past my prime.

I think that part of being an Aspie means being unaware of how others perceive us, and thinking that we just blend in somehow, with our comfortable clothing.

I've been told I was "cute" by at least 3 women before. I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing, though. Puppies are cute, but they piss on the carpet and chew shoes.

Are you really? Or are you just syaing that?

A lot of Aspies are perfectionists, so of course the majority should be good looking. I'm okay looking right now, I was good looking in high school(I'm in College now).

Edit: Does being a perfectionist neccessarily make you narcistic? I don't think it does. I don't even care what I look like right now.

I would probably get along pretty well with you.

I pretty much disagree with this entire thread though. If most Aspies are computer programmers/Engineers(Like many people have said). They are probably not very good looking......at all.

I hate to say that the stereotypes are true, but most engineers are rather ugly/unattractive. Take a look at the Engineering Department at the Universty of Michigan. Sheesh, its like looking as glue tubes@@! !

Perhaps it is more in the nature of Aspies, that is in generally not putting as much effort into their physical appearance, or being intolerant of fashion which gives that impression. I suppose it is chicken & egg situation, but if AS is a distinct disorder, then it shouldn't directly factor in Aspies being any different to the normal population.

I'm plain, I don't really care much about looks, they fade with age and all you get left is personality, whether you're AS or NT. *shrugs*

Truth is there are some good looking women on this site though most of the men that post pictures should take a step back and have a good look at their selves.

To be truly good looking you need to be good looking on the inside as well as the outside. Some of you guys need to read the s**t you post on this site when it comes to women.

I’ve been out with some really good looking girls that turned out to be so far up their own arses it was ugly.

One the other hand I have been lucky in that most of the women I have been involved with were good looking on the inside as well as the out.

I have been out with tall (up to 6feet), short (down to 5feet 2 in), blond, brunet, Red, English, American and Eastern Europeans. Some of them looked like models but the one thing they all had in common was their beauty came from inside, the outside was just a bonus.

The thing I get asked the most from other men is, “what does she see in you,” when will they learn!! !! I have Autism, this makes me different in many ways and different is interesting.

So to all the dicks on this site,
Pull your fingers out,
Stop complaining and get out there
