Showing respect for readers, and following strict grammar rules is not one and the same. For me at least.

No question. BUT, they provide a useful framework
for those who are less certain that they are getting
their point across. Ah, and sometimes one is intentionally
obfuscatory, but again, it's a matter of style and play
then, and not mere laziness. Saying things Just So is
indeed far more important than the rules themselves,
but I'd hate to see a bunch of netspeak s**t flow in here.

The only use for netspeak is to facilitate humor. Otherwise, it's obnoxious.

I hate abbreviations and acronyms in general... and try to avoid them at all costs.

guess what I meant. But, I like to do
that, when people start going too heavily.
