Umm..ok, my name is Daniel, i'm 17 years old (will be 18 on 09/05/05). I enjoy watchin' sports like wrestling and boxing, and playing on one of my two guitars (1 acoustic, 1 electric). Eh, not sure why I'm doing this, but what the hey.

My name's Matthew, and I'm your standard atypical 21-year old 5'8" male of mostly Celtic descent in northern Massachusetts looking for a girl within the New England-ish. I've got the usual Irish/Scottish fair skin with a ton o' freckles, dark curly hair (or would be if I didn't cut it short) and blue eyes.

Not terribly picky about age or ethnicity or whatever. Basically so long as you're human, got twice as many X chromosones as me, and not creepily older than me or jailbait. ^_~

At this point, general social contact would be perfectly fine with me. I'm just happy with people who share my interests and are just interesting to be around. Friendship and just having fun is more important to me than dating or whatever. That, and just someone I can have intelligent conversations with about whatever. Don't mind listening to the rants of others, either.

Supposedly I'm smart. That's what I've been told, though about half the time they're telling me I'm a smartass. Which I am. I am an unabashed wiseass who is occassionally something resembling clever and witty. I'm cynical and sarcastic and will make fun of myself, probably you, and just about everything else. Not malicious or degrading (I save the malcious and degrading jokes for myself), just kinda quirky and teasing. The rest of the time I'm just kind of strange and eccentric and possibly insane.

Man, I suck at these personal things...

Anyhoo, really the big thing with me is history. I'm going for my history major at school and it's kind of a heavy focus of my interests. It's also what I talk about a lot. And not just any part of history, all of it. I can talk your ear off about anything from ancient Greek politics to the Roman defeat in the Teutoniburg forest to Inca enviromental damage to the American Civil War to whatever. We all have our passions. This one's mine, and it is something I look for in others I'm interested in. Not necessarily knowing all the history of everything, but being interested in it.

I'm also enjoy books, music (even if for the life of me I can't remember the names of bands or songs), some anime, science, and really anything that keeps my brain stimulated. I also write, mostly for online free form RPGs but also working on some side projects. Video games, obviously. My brain is thoroughly rotted thanks to the wonders of gaming. ^_^

Outdoors wise... well, I don't mind hiking and wilderness stuff. Trapsing through the woods and all. And I like river rafting.

Always open to new experiences and adventures, and I need to get out more anyways.

I'm not sure if I'm Aspie. I don't particurally care, as I hate the labeling in modern society. As one old sailor once put it, "I yam what I yam." Sure I'm hopelessly oblivious to social cues, usually kind of distractable and scatterbrained and will change topics randomly, but that's just me.

26/M/Poland, Europe/straight, don't watch TV (except Cartoon Network), smokes a lot (but tries to drop it, as usual), likes drum-n-bass, dancehall reggae, hiphop (mainly german), codes for food (loves patterns, Python, knows C, is ashamed of PHP and some other), about 8 years of unix experience, freelance consultant, medical uni graduate.

Except reading/watching a lot of S-F in the past, I'm rather not a type of S-F fanboy. It feels good to have a grip on reality. I'm not a forum-type person (this is my first phpBB post, IIRC), I don't have a blog with detailed description of personal events. I hardly socialize on the internet.

I'm not looking for a relationship, but I really wouldn't mind a pen-friend (or, e-mail friend, as it should be called these times); preferred form of communication: e-mail (IM takes too much time and requires interactivity).

Feel invited, if you ever plan to visit my country. I'm a big passionate of offroad biking (nothing extreme, I just like wilderness) & kayaks. In general, I feel like it would be great to meet someone inteligent, in similar age, who would share some of my passions and wouldn't be afraid to meet at some holiday time. Basically, I rather count on that, than on long talks about books, movies, programming and stuff - I live in this world long enough without such people, so I got used to it. But, going on holiday together with someone smart seems to me to be a great idea. We don't have to talk, I don't think I have anything to tell you. Let's just hit the road together and have shedloads of fun for a week or two.

I'd like to play chess with someone IRL, none of people, that visit me from time to time know chess. Also, Bittorrent interview rocks. I belive I have much in common with that guy, basically, every OS sucks, every pointless thing is hard to concentrate on...
