There's nothing wrong with women having the same rights as men. If I lived in the 1960s, I would probably be one of those men that campaigned for women's rights, as I come from a very progressive family background...

The problem comes when the people that were campaigning for rights for a particular "second-class" group finally achieve their goals... the people that were once fighting the good fight realize the power and influence they wield, and aside from certain exceptional people such as Martin Luther King, end up getting drunk on their power, and, in the end, go on a f***ing power trip...

Hence you get groups like the Black Panthers and the super-radical branch of feminism...

sorry you are so oppressed by women, ToS. It must be frustrating to want something they have that you feel they are 'witholding' from you. I must chuckle to think you think that they have 'finally achieved their goals' though. Just because things are 'different' doesn't mean they are 'done.'

Exactly, give em' an inch, they'll take a mile.

I won't debate all the intricacies with you but: I do agree that there is a lot I probably take for granted that people have fought for. I appreciate what they have done and I don't oppose equality at all. However IMO if feminism were about equality, it would be called equalism or something.

That whole thing that Obama did the other day about fair pay for women is all well and good but what if there is a woman who is just not as good at her job or is less qualified as a guy in her same position? If she gets less pay, you can bet your ass she's going to cite this law and cry discrimination and get paid off.

And people like that are who piss me off. I work hard for the pay I am offered. I don't expect or feel that I deserve anything else. Just like anyother human male or female, if you want something else, find a new job. If I didn't think my pay was fair, I wouldn't have accepted the job offer. It's pretty simple if you ask me.

Thats true, and yeah, that thing Obama did will probably just lead to more trouble, even though he was just trying to do right. There'll be all kinds of law suits going on now with the greedy ladies.

It seems these feminists just look for any reason they can to say they are being mis-treated. Exactly lol, and if they're that worried about people being paid unfairly, why don't they campaign to help people in the 3rd world who get paid peanuts for making clothes and accessories. Or the Cockle and muscle pickers. I tell you why, cause they don't give a s**t about equal rights, they're just selfish narcasits.

8O Oh boy. Do you really believe that?

What's your definition then? (All I know is that's what I believe and I've been called a feminist numerous times.)

you're kidding... right

I'm male, so you know, and I have NEVER come across ANY female that will admit to liking jerks... why would they?

As for asking that? why? that's not the sort of thing you ask women, that's likely gonna turn them right off you

my apologies if this seems harsh but that's the way I see it

Think I give a sh** if I turn them off? Don't ever respond to my post again ret*d. Hows that for harsh.

Maybe you just "think" you are nice. I've come across men who just thought they were nice and would whine if they didn't get what they wanted from me, would call and invade my personal space when it was unwelcomed, would threaten to hurt themselves if I didn't give in.

Real nice guys don't pat themselves on the back and claim themselves as nice then go on an autistic messageboard and call someone a ret*d.

Maybe you need to examine what is going on internally and do something about it.

Some people that claim to be nice are just full of it. Then there are really nice people.

All of these posts blaming women for not getting what you want shows you aren't a nice person and frankly not alot of women will want you if you have the attitude of entitlement.

You aren't entitled to a super model. You aren't entitled to sex for being nice or playing nice.

Also, when it comes to looks, males are way more picky than women are and won't refrain from telling a woman she's ugly or average in the looks department or criticize her frame.

Guys should quit doing the following.

-Watching porn to learn how to treat women.

-Asking clueless male friends.

-Bashing women for not putting out.

-Acting as though they are entitled to a super model but the women should see past their own outer flaws and accept everything about them.

-Acting as if it's all the woman's fault for not being interested.

-Blaming women for their lack of interest even though it takes two to be interested.

-Failure to understand that these other guys you are watching get what you want probably try more times than you do. If you sulk over being rejected for prolonged periods of time over one female, you're missing out on other chances.

Most women I know don't sit there and jump out there seat and declare "Hey I know, how about I go find a jerk today!"

When guys say stuff like all women want jerks, it really reveals they aren't all that nice themselves and/or wallowing in self pity. That isn't attractive and if you keep just blaming women and not willing to accept anything else, good luck.

-The blunt girl that always gets in trouble for it.

AFAIC, feminism seems to instill women with a sense of entitlement and righteous arrogance. If women ever hope to truly achieve equality these are the very things they're going to have to GIVE UP. I doubt they ever will but those who do will get A LOT more respect from fella's like me.

I think it's that women just realize they don't have to tolerate some guy's sense of entitlement and righteous arrogance, which you confuse with arrogance and entitlement on their part. They can go for guys who know how treat them, well, good. If they can go for a guy who can make them feel so good, why would they waste time on a guy whose machismo requires him to throw hissy fits when he doesn't get his way?

The real solution is much simpler.
1) All men are jerks (scientific fact - for exceptions see below)
2) Most women like men (largely conjecture)
3) Thus, most women like jerks (follows from 1 & 2)

Below:
There are no exceptions.

How did this become about me and women "withholding" things? I'm talking about society at large here...

I'm not going to deny that there are still inequalities between the genders, most of which are culturally induced. The salary inequality that pays more to men. The "she deserved it" attitude that still exists to this day towards female rape victims. The objectification of woman in pornography. All these things are appalling in a society that prides itself as being in the 21st century.

But there are other inequalities too. In the dating scene, men are almost always the ones that are expected to initiate. In most child custody cases with divorcing parents, the child is almost always placed under the custody of the mother (even in lieu of shared parenting, which generally only happens if both parties agree to it), and the father has to pay child support for a child that he isn't helping to raise anymore. And to top it off, when a man hits a woman it's instantly classified as domestic abuse (as it should be classified, I'm not arguing that point), but when a woman hits a man it somehow isn't...

When it comes to double standards, the door definitely swings both ways... If you were truly a campaigner for equal rights, you would campaign for removal of all of these double standards, regardless of the gender said standard favors...
