So...I like this girl I barely know. We both go to the same college (we're both sophomores) and I recently transferred there from a different college. Before our freshman year, she and I chatted a little, and a little afterward, all through Facebook. One evening I check out a club meeting, and she's there and we start talking, albeit quite briefly, but that, and comments from a mutual friend suggesting a relationship between the both of us helped rekindle my crush on her. I want to approach her, but I'm nervous she won't take it well or something. And it's so hard to talk to her, but the impression I get about her is a positive one. Should I try chatting with her tomorrow at the next club meeting? Maybe sit next to her?

Yeah, definitely talk to her.
Can't say I'd know what to do from there though. Hopefully others will be more helpful lol.

Crush trouble shooting department. They really should start one of those.

Yes, chatting and sitting next to her both sound like good ideas.

If you think you have AS than you probably have trouble picking up signals, so since you think she is sending signs they are probably pretty big ones.

Ask her out. It's better to miss and know than to allways hate yourself for never even taking a shot.

Exude confidence.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a good shot, and I'll keep you guys updated. I don't know what's to lose here, so I'll give it a shot. And I'm not asking her out right now, but I'll be more assertive in trying to talk to her, and I'll try to hide my nervousness.

And our results: SHE SKIPPED THE MEETING! She wasn't there at all. Just my luck.

So, then, which was worse: your nervousness at the prospect of talking to her, or the letdown you felt when she didn't show up at the meeting?

Both. By the little I know about her, she seems like someone who seems sweet, but it could be that she ran into a scheduling conflict. She's a music major, and anyone whose been a music major basically lives, breaths and sleeps music.

Oh, and SINsister, if this is your thousandth post responding to this, then congrats!

Did she have a time conflict or do you think she did?

Former music major here. There were always concerts to be singing in or that required attending, rehearsals, etc. She probably had something like that. Don't give up. I can tell you if you get to know her a little better and she seems to like you even a little bit, show up at something she's performing in and it's very possible she'll be putty. It always worked on me. Good luck!

Thanks! And when you're going to one of the most prestigious public music schools in the country (HINT: Do some research and you'll find out what I'm talking about), time is always in short supply.

Well if it's the one I'm thinking (in New York--rhymes with Bulliard?? ) you must both be very talented performers.
