Does a girl like you if she stares into your eyes? Sometimes when im at a party i can see a girl is looking at me in my peripherals, i turn to look at her and we lock eyes. I usually break contact with a few seconds and i always get this feeling like a shouldnt have and i just messed up badly. This happens to me alot... and im not ugly because people are always shocked when i say ive never had a girlfriend because of how "good looking" i am. So what do you do when you lock eyes? Do you break contact or does she? Do you begin to talk to her and flirt with her while staring into her eyes?

I think this is my biggest problem. Ive always never known what to do when you lock eyes with each other. So whats socially acceptable about staring into someones eyes?

What I do(But never follow up on) Is just look at her, and then look back to wherever I should be looking at and grin in callous amusement. Whether she's admiring or loathing me, it tends to turn into a neutrally interested: "Who the heck is that?" From there on, I'm no help, because I quite simply don't care.

Just return the look for a second or two. Don't look away so quickly that she gets the impression that you don't like the fact that she's looking at you. Once you know she knows you've noticed her (that's a mouth-full), physically do something small to show your interest - maybe smile, wave or, I suppose, wink. Then break contact and maybe she'll come over to you.

Conversely, If she smiles/shows interest at you when you catch her eye, she might want you to approach her. For example, maybe she'll look down then smile back up.

Personally, winking puts me off. But that's just my opinion, other girls may have a different opinion on that.
Just some small sign of interest before breaking eye contact should get the message across adequately.

Yeah smiling beats a wink any day, also if you wink at her she probably wont wink back but if you smile and she smiles back you have an approval sign like permission to go over and get her talking (which is much easier than talking yourself).
