The poll is biased against gays/bisexuals.

Hmm...I can't really pass up an opportunity to talk about myself...
Was asked out sarcastically many times, what with being a fat, neurotic, frizzy-haired stalker...
Was asked out genuinely a few years ago by a guy with poor higeine, he was a very good friend but I turned him down...
Was asked out a lot by Americans over the internet, had a few internet relationships that ended horribly!!
Then with my first (and current) RL boyfriend, wewere just very good friends and no-one asked anyone out, we simply kissed- then I said "Does this mean you're my boyfriend?" and he said "Yeah, okay." xD

Guys being asked out are way ahead of girls.

Guys have it so easy. They can just sit back and girls will ask them out all the time. Life is so unfair.

The only time I have been asked out was one in the few points of my life where I actually had a girlfriend.

I think this poll just opened up Pandora's box.

I was gonna start a poll similar to this, though it would compare how many relationships each gender has been in, but I figured there were way too many variables to make it accurate, and the fact that it would cuz a big stir around here. I might still try it anyways...always love the drama :D

Variables that would make any poll like this inaccurate:

Did the same amount of voters for each gender vote?
Did they vote honestly?
How large or small is the sample base?

Also, I think this poll should add a specific number to the amount of times a guy or girl have been asked out, as well stating what is and is not considered being asked out.

I'm Aspie, so I also need a million explanations for what is meant exactly by... "a girl".

:P

I'd say "a girl" (which I am) is someone of the female gender with XX or Xo chromosomes. All people w/ only one sex chromosome are girls (automatically of the female gender). Though I believe people/women/girls with Xo are usually or always underdeveloped & sterile.

I have to qualify my "yes" response. Two women have asked me out:

1. A delusional woman with serious mental illness who was stalking me in cyberspace and in the real world. I'm not sure what the inclusion criteria here are, so I counted her.

2. A married, nutty woman with an agenda of sorts who wanted me as a tool in some game she was playing. Again, I'm not sure if she should be counted.

Finally, it is entirely possible I've been asked out on other occasions, but due to social ineptitude and dating cluelessness, I missed it completely. I can't rule in our out this possibility, but only acknowledge that it exists.
