I think I've had attachment issues not with guys but as a female with other girls IMO an old friend and my Psychology teacher. I've tryed to figure out a logical reason (outside of just AS) and my decision for me emotionally it's what I call niceness which is the aspect of someone treating me nicely saying nice things to me etc. I you are NOT nice to me or come off as rude in anyway I don't want to be around you (not that I wont I just will not want too) The teacher, friend, etc. were nice to me which I like being told nice things etc.

You can't really give the blanket statement of "ALL" to people with AS....It might be a common thing...I was plagued once with an unhealthy attachment/obsession....that messed me up for years.

I once had a boss, who in retrospect, might have been on the spectrum...he was extremely awkward, and he was also a good deal older than me....and his actions towards me boiled down basically to sexual harassment in the workplace...I was a good deal younger than I am now, and a good deal more awkward, and didn't know how to respond.....He sorta became fixated upon me and stalked me around the workplace...and I had to tell on him because he freaked the hell out of me....and he cried in front of me...but it could have been because he was in trouble at his job...though I was never able to work for the company again and he just got a reprimand.

I have been in that situation as well.

I forgot to theorize on the "why" part....For me...it felt like insanity...for the life of me, I could not get the person out of my head...it was akin to some sort of OCD loop....or a loose sprocket in my mind that would not stop turning...

As for my former boss....I really have no idea what a 40-something year old guy would want with an extremely painfully mousy and awkward girl who is the same age as his son...and had already attested to having a boyfriend....That might cause him to do things that would jeopardize his job and reputation at work.....but stranger things have happened in the world, I suppose...

My "obsession"-person....at least reciprocated enough to sorta add fuel to the fire...we actually dated...
