Should people be like preying mantises?

Think of all the benifits to wives eating their husbands like preying mantids. After two or three kids of course, or else the populations would decrease too dramaticaly. Here are the benifits that I can think of:

1. Less war due to less man power

2. Less obnoxious misogenists due to the fact that men would want to make there deaths as plesant as possible

3. Likewise females would be nicer to males out of sympathy.

4. No more bad romantic comedies.

5. Life in general would be pretty interesting in that kind of society.

There may well be less wars with more women in power, but there would be some pretty intense negotiations every 28 days!! !!

Well, only problem with that is women becoming predators (har har). Not to mention that males in the insect kingdom have no idea that the female will eat them during/after sex, so human males will be thinking, "Im not getting married til im on the last leg of my life." Wouldnt recommend that unless those ladies have a soft spot, and an iron stomach, for old guys. Can you imagine the news, ". . . on another topic Brenda, another male was eaten today moments after his wife had their third child. The child is doing fine, the mother is full, and the leftovers were sent to the local organ donors." Plus, given human penchant for sex, i doubt married women today would want to lose that lifelong perk. There are other reasons as well, but things need to be balanced out. Saying one gender or the other is wrong about something is kinda insulting . . . no two guys are alike, no two women are alike. On the up side, i think it would be cool to have spines lining our arms.

So then the women will be raising the kids plus earning a living -hey wait a minute...

I chose no.

-mentions there is a martial style called "of the mantis"- <.< But yeah, however cool mantises might be, you'd have to line your arms close to your body to know how it's like.

I thought this is ridiculous until I read number number 4.

I would gladly give my life if it meant my kids would never be forced to sit through another 'How to lose a guy in 10 days' movie. But, that last bit of sex before she murdered me better be some freaky ass sex, i mean absolutely nothing must be off limits, body parts would be going into other body parts in ways/shapes and forms otherwise unthinkable.

yeah, some may argue that PMSing isn't good for diplomatic negotiations of any kind and may in fact lead to more wars

PMS prez (im)possible scenario:
-"madame president, the tampon companies have finally gone bankrupt from the economical crisis, there are no more. oh...and france is on line one, they say england is picking on them again and if that doesn't beat all, osama's wife has come out of hiding and demands surrender to islam"

- "WTF???... badddd...dayyyyyy! arghhhh, fire ze missles!!"

- "ummm, okay?....and you're absolutely sure? executive power and all?...

- "just do it....oh wait, bad idea...haha hey, is it too late to recall those???...."

- "yeah, kinda, sorta, yeah...already in the air, ya know?"

- "one of those days i should've just stayed in bed, huh?"

- "well, president is sorta a full-time thing. can't call set in stone regular clockwork breaktimes like that. it's like calling out "hey everyone our president has a predictable achilles heel! grab your arrows and take aim!"

- "damn, this could be tough...okay, resist the urge. resist the urge to stab someone... how am i doing charles? looking any more level headed than 3 minutes ago?"

- "time will tell i guess. maybe you should raid the cabinet for some ibuprofen?"

- "reasonable start i suppose. let's call in the clean-up crew"

- "first thing i did in fact. already covered. diplomats with armed escorts for protection being sent as we speak. the day before mothers day too, really, what were the odds? there will undoubtedly be some disgruntled diplomats, this could end up getting even uglier..."

- "plan B? blame it on the russians?"

- "well, we're definitely going to need a scapegoat for a screw-up this huge"

- "or wait, china's been an economical pain in the ass buying up all our oil lately! the perfect plan; two birds with one stone! charles this could turn into a huge disaster, you're aware, but if we can play the blame game on china sucessfully then i think this calls for wild celebration"

- "recommendations? ideas?"

- "i don't suppose the playboy mansion has guys too?..."

- "i'm not certain, i'll make a pre-emptive call to Mr. Heffner immediately. what kind of decent civilian turns down a presidential request?"

- "the treasonous kind, be sure to add that in your inquiry. no. wait. PMS speaking. sorry"

omg...i just read that. it says his victims were volunteers...

and that they voluntarily cut of their own penis and the killer and victim would both attempt to devour it together. and then the guy would kill the victim, and then eat him.

my main question is, "what kind of sick f^ck volunteers to do that?!?!?! and he managed to find more than one volunteer even or several apparently?!?!?!"

Bad romantic comedies are to women what Warhammer is to men (or nerdy men, at least). So somehow I doubt that less men would result in more romcoms, unless of course the romance no longer exists due to the 'preying mantis' thing.

When I saw this, I thought immediately of Zorak from Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

Yes but for another reason: Mantises look !

That sounds like a great plot for a third installment of 28 Days Later.
