I find it easier to interact with people that I'm not romantically attracted to.
It doesn't sound like a weird thing - I know people tend to get nervous around attractive people - but the way that it has affected me has been a problem in the past.
I think my ease in being kind/having relaxed fun with people that I'm not romantically interested in is why, in the past, several friends (who happen to be bisexual/lesbians - and, for the record, I'm completely fine with their lifestyles - homosexual love and attraction is as perfectly natural/good as heterosexual.) have 'fallen' for me. It's made situations awkward in the past.

I'm naturally more open around people that I feel no pressure around. So, I guess I give off an 'interested vibe' around them.
But when I actually am interested in someone, I tend to become more shy, even if they seem interested in me as well, thus giving off a seemingly 'uninterested vibe'.

Does anyone else have these issues? Or any input? Any advice would be wonderful and greatly appreciated. (:

I don't have advice but I'll just say I have been exactly the same way, so you are not alone. It's more of a problem when people you like but are not interested in dating think you are available. I am frozen around people I'm attracted to.

I'm the same. I have lots of friends. Lots and lots. Some of my best friends are women.

But if I find someone attractive... forget it. She'll run.

Let's party then! Oh wait I'm still at work another 30 minutes.

I'm so going to stop by a coffee house and get a french press kona and a really big evil sugary pastry.

I meant, I'm bringing the coffee and the homemade sangria to our party. Feel free to bring some healthy snacks! :D

Nuts? Carrot sticks? Rice crackers? Would those work? They are healthy!

How about some whole-grain pitas and hummus...apples...baked organic blue corn tortilla chips and salsa...Greek yogurt..? ;)

In all seriousness, though, I'd appreciate some advice, too.

All of the above would work just fine. Avoid baked goods (cookies), fatty foods, processed meats, and refined sugar. :)

Five more minutes before I break my own advice and go get a giant blueberry scone. :P

Hey, a giant blueberry scone once in awhile won't kill you. ;)

Yeah. The evening after work ended up being all about a lemon loaf (no scones!! !!), a cup of Sumatra, and an hour of kicking Orc ass on my laptop. Then I went home, changed, and ran for about an hour.

All in moderation... :)

Sorry for derailing your thread, Jaejoongfangirl. No harm intended, just some silly fun. :)

Now, where were we?
