Everybody seems to want a contest for most attractive Aspie Male, but none of the threads really went any where beyond sharing pictures (and off topic discussions). So i figured, what the heck, I'll take a jab at organizing this thing. Or at least at giving it some semblance of organization.

I say we have annual Mr. Asperger's pageants.

I know there are a lot of very attractive guys here - the many "Most Attractive Aspie Guy" threads definitely demonstrated that. Don't be too intimidated to enter a picture of yourself!

Now, even though this is still just for fun, we will pick a winner based on votes taken after a number of rounds. It will work this time.

So, if you want to enter, post your picture on here. No talking, no explanation of your choice of pose, no comment on how silly/ugly/gorgeous you look. Don't type a letter. I'm sure your words would provide unparalleled insight into the sheer magnitude of your attractiveness but, please, just post the picture. (:

I'm fine with it if you want to nominate someone - just be sure to first ask the potential nominee if they're OK with you posting their picture on here. Plus, be sure to say who the picture is of, the nominee's username. See rules for the exact preferred format.

And girls/guys who are here to peruse the selection and find a favorite, please don't comment on any posts. This is the PICTURES ONLY thread. I don't want it to become one of those endless, aimless "Post your pics you attractive aspie, you" threads that are popping up all over now. Lets do it for real this time.

If someone is confused about the guidelines or has something they want to tell/point out to me (be that anything: an inconsistency, incomplete/incoherent guidelines, or simply informing me of your opinion that making this thread is a terrible/good idea) please PM me. I don't want to interrupt the picture-thread with text unless I have to in order to clarify something. (:

This thread will continue to be up until we have a good number of pages filled, or until the entries stop coming in. Exactly how long that will be remains to be seen.
After that I may set up voting threads for the finals (possibly start off with several quarter finals or semi-finals threads, depending on how many entries we get) where there's a poll that includes a proportionately sized portion of the entries. Then we'll take a few winners from each portion and put them in the finals to be compared against one another. If you have a better idea of how I should do this, again, please PM me.

Rules:
-One to two (maximum) pictures per contestant, one post per contestant
-If you are nominating someone else: Get their consent first, 2) type under the picture, this information, in this format: "[nominee's username]: Nominated by [your user name]"
This format is just so everybody know who the person in the picture is.
-No joke pictures, please
-NO TEXT unless you are nominating someone.
-Use common sense when selecting your pic(s). Don't be offensive, keep it family friendly.

While I am male, I can only guess as what the female aspies would like in the ultimate aspie man. I suspect that they would like some form of renaissance man or polymath, rather than a man with the super fit body.

Well I am a polymath in training. But before anyone asks me out I have to say that I will say no as I have a wife.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

Does this competition allow auties to participate as well?

If anything I would suggest that people send you directly the pictures, and then when the time period for entries is over, then you can post them all up in one shot, with no text other than numbers to refer to them. This ensures that there is no other stuff posted, all the pics are in one place instead of scattered all over the thread, and people can maintain anonymity yet still have a chance to evaluate how people think of their appearance, if that's important to them. This would also ensure that people will not post their opinions on those pictures that are submitted earlier than others. You can reveal the identities of the winners at the end if you and the winner consent to it.

Thanks CG and Mr B. I was feeling a little self-conscious since I lost some weight and got my teeth fixed, so it's really re-assuring to know that my new look is truly mindblowing.
