So i've been talking to this girl who randomly added me on a social networking site a month ago. We've been chatting alot, getting on well, she seems pretty awesome, she seems to think i'm pretty awesome too, she is gorgeousss, she thinks i'm really cute.
but that's not even the kicker :o ...
even with all that, i was sorta reeling from the shock of how well things were going and how effing cute & awesome she is.

then we both found out today that we're both aspies 8O :!: we had no idea the other was one too til she brought up she had ADHD and i just happened to mention my AS & she was like, "OMG, that's INSANE, i have it too!! !"

i mean it was unlikely enough that the add was random.
on top of that unlikely in itself that we'd both have Aspergers since it's not exactly hugely common.
Finally it's unlikely that we'd just happen to end up liking each other even without knowing the other was an aspie.

She wants to either visit me up here in Washington, or me to visit her in Indiana
& i'm pretty damn stoked. Taking a greyhound bus would prolly be cheapest i think  .
gotta start saving up some moneyyy =P

UPDATE: we're officially going out now :) . So i have legitimate claim. The vultures have begun circling

You were incredibly lucky, the odds of meeting another aspie is less than 1%! !!

and one so gorgeous too 8O.

i'd say one so awesome too, but it's not really as evident through a picture, and you'd just have to take my word on it that she has a wonderful personality.

That makes sense to me, but I'm frequently reading on this forum about this aspie friend and that aspie friend so I wonder. :? She is very pretty seanmw.

yeah, i also think that statistic might be a little off in light of aspie networking sites like this and such.

though he might be referring to the ratio of aspies to NTs. & indeed the percentage of aspies out of the whole population actually is less than 1%, true.

According to my Myers-Briggs type I've 1.5 % chance of meeting someone like me. :? Meeting someone just like you isn't mandatory though. My mother and her 3rd husband were practically opposites and were very happy together.

To be more precise about facts;

1. 1:4 or 1:5 of people with aspergers are girls.

2. 1:10 of people are homosexual (no offense).

3. Meeting someone over the net with aspergers is an incredibly low chance, and especially when doing it on a chatting site that's not designed for aspies, where there are very few of them, and that an aspie from there is a girl is a chance so low that it can only be compared to winning a jackpot, but with a better price

You may be one of, (IF) not the only aspie who have got that chance!!

Holy. s**t.

Honest to god, I have seen magma colder than her!

Finding an aspie by itself is fairly rare.

Finding one hot enough to ignite steel at ten paces...if you let this one go, we will hate you forever. XD

You'd probably be more comfortable on Amtrak than Greyhound, at least the clientele is a little more higher-class. Plus you got the benefit of a dining car, an onboard bar, and a lounge car with panoramic windows. You even get the option of upgrading to a sleeping compartment, but those cost a lot. The Empire Builder route runs between Seattle and Chicago (the landscapes it passes through are incredible), then you can transfer to another route or a bus to get to Indiana. Or you can do the meeting thing in Chicago somewhere. Oh wait, we're talking about two people who like each other; sorry, my aspie obsession got me sidetracked here :).

Anyway, you're really lucky, and the girl looks incredible. Normally, I have a strong aversion to hot girls (for reasons a lot of aspies will understand), but in this case, I'll take your word for it. Good job, and I hope your meeting goes well. I noticed that you're 19, so I hope you're not living at home. Parents can be notorious for thwarting plans like this. Although if yours don't care, consider yourself even more lucky.

yeah, i sorta got that feeling.

i feel like i won the lottery without even buying a ticket.

the weirdest thing is we were just sorta chatting at first, i wasn't even hitting on her, i just happened to mention i liked the Twilight series even before the movies came out. She said that made me pretty much unlike most men she knew, and from that point on she just decided i was her favorite person i guess lol. & after that i was helping that notion along & being tastefully flirtatious and friendly. Walking on eggshells so to speak because i didn't yet know she was an aspie and i didn't want to come off as weird or creepy so i was working really hard to keep myself in check. But as it turns out i guess i don't have to be so careful since she'd prolly be a bit more understanding than an NT. It's sorta a huge relief. & apart from that just has me feeling pretty ecstatic :)

I met my ex's and the first one seemed to have AS but I got told he was just a jerk. The second one happened to have it and I didn't know until we met. Before we met up, I thought he had traits of it just by what he was saying about himself online and he came off as innocent and naive. Then we met and I had him do the quizzes and he scored aspie. Then he said he got tested for it and they said he would have been diagnosed with it as a kid if it were around then. But they couldn't make it official because they only did it for kids. Now I realize how crap he was because I have met adults from my aspie group who were diagnosed at the same place. Maybe they didn't do it anymore so that could be it.

It may not have been a official but three different doctors saying he does is official enough for me. You don't need a bunch of papers written about you if you are doing good in life. He was doing fine on his own without the DX.

My husband has traits of it, some he had outgrown. But I am more affected by it than he is.

Hahahaha yeah, i knowww, right 8) ??

I don't think anything could shatter my good mood right now. Death could show up at my door tomorrow beckoning me to follow, and all i'd have to say is, "What took you so damn long? I died of happiness yesterday. You have no idea how much it sucks to spend the night in a freezing corpse!"

Actually though, i guess i now know 2 aspie girls "hot enough to ignite steel at 10 paces". Though the other lives in Tennessee, is a few years older than me, & has a kid. She was single, but i think at the moment she has a boyfriend.

That's it? The smallest apartments around here start at $1000 at the lowest-income neighborhoods...
