I'm 23 years old, and has never been in a relationship. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one that at my age haven't been with a girl. I of course try, but everytime I see a sweet girl my face turns red, I barely can look at her, and I of course cant talk to her. I'm 23 years old, but my mind seems to think that I'm 12/13 years old. I would describe myseøf as a romantic and caring guy when i get to know the girls, but that doesn't help me at all when I dont know them.

Do you have parents? That's a relationship. Do you have friends? That's a relationship. Do you have a dog? That's a relationship. Trust me, having a girlfriend isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's a NT thing, we wouldn't understand. It can be great at times, but that's only if you are with the right person. I'm single, mainly because women are scary vile creatures. It's kind of like the NT obsession with drinking, or the NT obsession with smoking weed, or the NT obsession with going to the club, or the NT obsession with not being able to go anywhere by themselves, or the NT obsession with homophobia, or the NT obsession with...you get the point. If NTs really really like something, chances are it sucks.

By that analogy, baseball, New York-style pizza, and Apple computers all suck...

How come?

If NTs really desire something because of their instincts, people with Asperger's often desire it as well.

For anyone here having problems with finding dates you might want to set up a free profile on Plentyoffish.com or OKCupid.com. It's much less intimidating to message them especially given you already know a bit about them and it's not face-to-face. Don't expect to get a lot of replies though, I get maybe a 5-10% response rate. There are also a lot of horny guys who ruin it, so you sort have to set yourself apart from them. There are some creepers, but I haven't found many. I'm 24 and only been in one relationship that lasted about 6 months and ended when "I didn't spend enough time with her". I met her online.

I found it especially useful since I'm a bit of a recluse so I don't really meet many girls.

I'm almost 25 and I'm the same. These days I don't care though. I've already accepted my fate as being unloved. Not saying that you should do it to though, if it's not what you want to.

Sigh. Another self-pity, I can't talk to girls thread.

Here's your solution, but you won't like it...pay more attention to that heavy-set woman at work.

Well all you need to is find the right place and the right time if you want to get a girl or a g/f.

That or hire a pro who looks like a girl you had a crush on. Once you lose your v-chip you will kick yourself for being so whiny about this subject.

Dating is not all it is cracked up to be. There is no shortage of NT people in BF/GF relationships who are miserable.

That's not a solution - if you date someone you aren't romantically interested in, then you're wasting their time as well as yours.
