I question the practical nature of two aspies mating. The likliehood of passing of the curse inevitably increases, though they are probably more likely to meet and have common interests. I think a relative or a friend of an aspie would be most ideal, though there maybe some increased risk you balance that out with greater familiarity and understanding of the nature of AS. Besides if both mates are equally socially awkward and disorganized, they would be less likely to get anything done or go anywhere fun. Unfortunately, it takes a dash of social skill to know where to go and what to do for fun. At least for the fun the average date would neccessitate.

I am thinking that pre-natal testing would have one benefit , it would allow Autistics to ensure that they have only autistic babies. This way we will ensure the survival of our people and our kind.

I suppose this is made up. I always thought modern humans were homo sapiens.

What is a neuralist? Does this have something to do with being nervous or is this some kind of mild reference to NT?

Well here is something I found in reference to 'neuralism' but it's not exactly what I'd really place in the same context as ASMAN does. He seems to use it in reference to those that don't hold an extreme disdain for NTs (like those of us autistics/aspies with NT children or spouses) like he does as well as for NTs itself from the context he seems to use it in.

'Homo Autisticus' hmmm, I wonder how much quicker NTs would want to instead of accepting us a minority/subculture, pass over any of our efforts towards either and just forget pre-natal testing and go to the slaughter seeing stuff like this. And shock tactics usually have a more negative effect on the whole anyways other then to present to others possible delusions in my opinion.

not wishing to be pedantic, but wasn't this originally a light hearted thread about ideal partners?

Yet again we appear to be accusing one another of neuro-bigotry of various sorts (depending on which position you take) and getting stroppy. Now, I promised to play nicely and not kick off, so I will now retreat to my bunker and await the first wave of genocidal neuralists until the original topic comes back out to play.....

again mish twists what I mean

Neuralism is prejudice against autistics.
Neuralist is like racist.
Mish the ever affable and sensitive aspie, is worried about the feelings of others.

No I am not. I am asking to play on level playing field. That has nothing to do with feelings. NTs with their social rules precluded us from succeeding in many areas of life

I was giving her a compliment, Of course, Mish is someone who agees with you. I do not so....

I had a interesting conversation with one of my colleagues at AFF, about the possibility pro Cure NT ,trolling on the various boards and purposely trying to silence our voices at the outrage of the (millions of dollars) cure movement , and pre natal testing.

Now I am not saying you and mish are NTs let alone part of the Cure movement , Just sometimes it sure seems that way

I have split these posts off the 'Ideal Partner' thread, as the subjects discussed here were off-topic. I hope that no one will object if this thread remains locked.
