this maybe a day too late to post, but who gives a flying hoot! here it is anyways:

are u tired of being single and seeing other beautiful/good-looking couples getting their kicks on that so-called "special day"? or even fantasizing on your ideal significant other that you know'll never have in your life? yeah, i've got the same feeling too. for us Aspies/Autistics, this is a subject we're all too familiar with.

in my case, i've been single and plain-looking all of my life and i usually avoid wearing red on that day. i believe that 'love' is only for the normal, gorgeous, and lucky people hooking up with strangers they think they're compatible with but end up getting heart-broken or beaten up after that. the kind of 'love' i know is that of my family who cares and accepts me for who i am more than a stranger ever will.

here you can post your stories, anti-love quotes, or just vent out against this poor excuse of a 'holiday', this is the place to do it!

Well try to stand out more and people will notice you and you say love is for beautiful people it attitude like that will get u nowhere so keep trying and hey next year will be different you will see

I'm going to snaffle some cheap chocolates soon when they put them on special. Its really the only time I notice valentines day.

valentines day is just another corporate ploy to separate the consumer from their hard earned greenbacks, just like any other 'holiday'. I fail to see the day symbolizing love when all it is is just yet another corporate payday. I think more people need to become as disillusioned about holidays as I am. Being so damn jaded about practically everything has helped me cope with the whole singles are losers mentality that the media tries to push onto everyone. I think more people just simply need to think this way, not just about valentines day, but general day to day living. People need to ask themselves, 'what is the point to what I am doing?'. But alas, human evolution has yet to go on far enough where most people can think this way.

red my brother noticed.

I didn't realize it was going on until it was over and I wanted some chocolate, lol.

I feel different about it this year. I'm really strong right now in what I am and what I have to offer and I feel like if I ever meet someone who has sense enough to appreciate that then lucky them. Not a sentiment I ever thought I would be expressing (and I had to go through a lot of pain to get to this feeling, but having it is really nice).

seriously, you don't even know me and you don't know what you're talking about. idealistically, this 'holiday' is for the lucky and beautiful people with money. you see them in school, college, and life. that's the harsh reality of what "love" is about. personality is out of the question. deal with it!

Yesterday was also Lunar New Year..It is now the Year of the Metal Tiger...I am not necc a PRO Valentine's day person, BUT one can always make the best of it..
We had a big silly Tiger-themed Valentines party...or was it a Valentine Themed Tiger party....whatever the case, it was fun for all who were there regardless of whether they were in a relationship or not...I hate cut flowers...I hate cheapo yucky valentine candy...I kinda like the candy hearts with the sayings on them, but for some reason, had a difficult time finding them this year. I like old-school vintage goofy valentines cards, and I actually made valentines this year for people...they could select whichever one they wanted....they were heart-shaped refrigerator magnets...My Friend brought over scraps of magnetic "paper" from his work..the stuff comes in rolls and is used for signs and whatnot...and we cut the stuff into heart shapes and then images out of an old tattered art magazine and Mod Podged them to the hearts....really it was more like pasting the front of the magnetic heart to the back of the image and then cutting the thing out...to make it completely cover the heart....then we coated the whole thing with a couple of layers of modpodge and viola.! Weirdo d.i.y valentine refrigerator collage magnets...I photographed them all because they were gonna be given away and I uploaded them to Facebook and tagged people's names to them in a fairly random fashion....
