Do you think I would have better luck with a girl if I was introduced to her by one of her friends?

Yes, because the introduction is an unspoken vouching for your character, and suggests that you are a person worth knowing.

if you're an aspie it probably won't make a difference - once she sees how socially awkward you are her p**** will dry up like a raisin

Aw, I disagree. And that's very inappropriate, not just on the forum and because he's asking for advice, but also because you clearly don't understand women if you think we're wired that way.

@kingtut3
Yes, I think you'd have a better chance with her as chaotik_lord said. If you like her, let her know.

sorry to say but with poor social skills (unless you're famous or extraordinarily wealthy) you may as well consider yourself a troll. social skills are probably the #1 most important thing to women and as an aspie you'd be lucky to land a girl under 300 lbs. or without any physical deformities

If you make it a problem, it will be a problem. And that seems to be the case of the majority of men here who can't get a partner. Every one of them is consatntly bringing up the word "aspergers"

Also social skills aren't the only thing women go for to be honest. If you have a problem with your social skills try and develop them like all the other aspies who have actually got somewhere with people instead of being such a defeatist.

Halebopp is right, I'm quite socially awkward but I've dated 5 women and 3 of them for over a year. I may not be the smoothest talker or even the best conversationalist but the girls i've dated range anywhere in the looks department from "average" to "could be a model".

Here's some advice

1. stop focusing on women and start focusing on improving your life
2. stop whining and start doing something productive
3. stop being negative and start honing your social skills

Edit:
@kingtut
Definitely, like the others said it's having someone vouche for you. A professional reference if you will. As long as the person introducing you is trustworthy themselves of course.

100% absolutely. Not only is it the "vouching" portion, but generally you two share one or more common interests (which you can make a game out of it trying to figure it out). It's much easier to have the ice broken by a friend (and it doesn't have to be a mutual friend).
