Don't walk around with your mouth hanging open. There's just something terribly unattractive about this.

If you happen to suffer from chronic allergies or something which causes you to do this, and you were in the market for a partner, it'd be advisable to see a doctor about addressing the issue of your chronic congestion.

Fortunately, that's easier for me than remembering to keep my mouth closed. I'm all the time catching myself with my mouth hanging open in public because I walk so briskly I get out of breath at times.

Let me guess you just found that out when you posted this.

If some things were so obvious to everyone, this website would not exist.

Easier said than done; I'm a mouth-breather. I even caught myself breathing in through my mouth when I read the original post of this thread.

It is obvious to most people, but I have seen supposedly 'normal' people doing it. It's very ugly looking (I'm not talking about people who clearly need to breathe out their mouth due to asthma etc; that's explainable).

You obviously are not in south Louisiana rite now. Thanx to the oil in the golf; I'm smelling crude oil while I'm typing this. Lots of people are having problems bereaving here. Some people have problems with allergies year round here to begin with & meds can have very weird/odd side effects on people & people can not always afford to go to a doc. If keeping your mouth closed to breve is a prerequisite for having a partner; few people here would be in relationships rite now. I do NOT judge such things

Being a pre-req for a partner and finding something unattractive are two different things. Some people may not find it unattractive, but most do. I do, but I get that there are times you breathe with your mouth open...I live in MS, if I hopped on down to LA I'd be breathing with my mouth open too.

I guess I could add some more.

- When talking to a romantic interest, look up at their face not down there...

- Make sure you've brushed you're teeth before speaking in their face. I don't know how many times this has happened to me.

- Zip it real good.

- Ladies if you don't want to come off desperate, make sure your shirt that goes down to your boobs doesn't leave room for the titties to hang out. True story, I made this mistake once... :?

- Don't wear tight shirts unless you're confident you don't have flab around that area. I can't tell you how many times I've seen both women and men make this mistake. Yuck!

- When making eye contact, don't make it too direct. Look up and then look away.

- And for the love of god take a shower and wear deodorant!!

Honestly, if the hygiene issues are taken care of sufficiently (the aforementioned showering, brushing of teeth, deodorant, etc) and the person is nice I really don't care much about their mouth hanging open.
