"Jealous" is an ambiguous word. It has several meanings. Which do you mean? Its meaning can include any of these:
* Fearful or wary of being supplanted; apprehensive of losing affection or position.
* intolerant of rivalry or unfaithfulness
* hostile toward a rival or one believed to enjoy an advantage
* vigilant in guarding a possession
* envious: painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage
Thanks emp; Like I said, I dont experience most of this; the only one i have felt is envy. It had not occured to me that there might be several definitions.
I can be vigilant, but in the sense that i am being cautious; its a logical thing, like locking my doors, or placing valuable items out of view.
I am extremely egalitarian. I think people should belong together, not to each other.
Ahem. To clear up the ambiguity, I mean jealous in the sense that you cannot abide your signifigant other to enjoy the attention of rivals/strangers.
