Post what you've learned about dating and maintaining a relationship.

Your Partner should be your best friend as well as your Lover or Significant Other.

you know the two of you are growing sufficiently close and truly comfortable with one another when you're no longer afraid of offending each other. None of that walking on eggshells BS :) .

Good looks don't matter much. I've seen some pretty ugly individuals miraculously create handsome children. Good health on the other hand, does matter, because no one wants to outlive the love of their life and be left alone.

Men: if you are in an argument and you are undeniably in the right, apologize to her immediately!

.... Ok, kidding aside, a biggie that I can think of right now is this: If a small problem arises during a relationship, it needs to be addressed quickly before it persists and turns into something bigger than it needs to be. Little bumps in the road are to be expected (especially when one or both people are on the spectrum), but if you don't address them as they come up they can become big holes.

Another: Get her some flowers while you're out every now and then, when she's not expecting them. It will mean quite a bit since it shows that you're thinking about her. Little surprises are great; you don't have to be a big spender if she really cares for you.

Do not try to kill your partner, they will always take it the wrong way.
Make sure you have compatible views on important things such as children and human sacrifice.
Donkeys do not make suitable romantic partners; nor do swordfish, rabbits or tsetse flies. In fact, only humans should be considered.
Do not dissect your partner for use as spare parts for yourself, that will be taken just as badly as trying to kill them.
If you can't afford a javelin, it is not acceptable to sharpen your partner's head in a giant pencil sharpener and use them instead. Just save your money until you can afford a real javelin.

Lies.

I'd say learning to be forgiving is helpful.

Know the difference between wanting to be with the person you're with, and simply wanting to be with someone, anyone. Too many times I've twisted myself in knots emotionally trying to stay with a particular girl when, in truth, I didn't even like her all that much, all because of a belief that if I lost THIS girl, than no girl anywhere would ever like me again. In other words, don't let poor self esteem make your relationship decisions for you. Easier said than done, I know.

Well, this one time, I started an interspecies dating service, but it just didn't work out. :( You would not believe what incredible jealousy issues tsetse flies have.
All of my efforts to help the animal kingdom overcome its terrible loneliness always amount to failure...
