I wonder if anyone of us never had a gf before.

I used to envy my NT friends who have GFs by 20 and I am still single. Makes me kinda a loser in the crowd unable to get into their topics.etc.

Anyone else had the same problems..

I was the same way as you, except younger. I always envied my friends who had girlfriends at 14, 15. I didn't get a serious girlfriend until I was 19.

And then for a little while my girlfriend made me feel inexperienced because she was only 16 and a bisexual (I was 21, it was legal in Michigan) and she had already done all these things with guys that I hadn't even thought of, and she expected me to be more experienced because I was older. We're okay in our relationship now because she realized that I was a "late bloomer"

Sure I never had a girlfriend before. I'm a straight girl, so I had a boyfriend instead. :D

I've fallen into the trap of "you should be more experienced, you're 24" several times. This year i properley lost my virginity to a guy and he expected me to know more because of my age. This was the very reason I was desperate to lose it at 22 and wished i wasn't because something horrible happened.

I've waited a while for a real significant other relationship, but in my case, it's been worth it yet at the same causing me to be a slight nervous wreck.

I've had some "romantic activity" with women, but never a girlfriend though. When people ask me why I usually just tell them to ask most women I know, they'll tell you.

I know how you feel. I may only be 16, but a lot of boys my age have had girlfriends, so it makes me feel rather lonely.

If you're with the right person, they'll be forgiving of it. I didn't get my first passionate kiss until I was 19, and even then it was because I asked. Still, once that was out of the way, everything else became easier.

I guess the point is to get past the initial nervous barrier. Once you're past that, everything else is a bit easier to handle, at least when it comes to being emotionally prepared for it. I do kind of wish I had held off on giving up my virginity. No loss though.

There are others in far worse positions than you.

26 now and never had a girlfriend. I've tried more times than I can remember, and never had someone who was remotely interested. Well, not quite, there were a couple, but all it took was one date for them to figure out I was damaged goods, and they could find someone who was better.

I really got into online dating for a while, but that was more of the same. So a few months back, I deleted all my accounts, and officially quit dating. There are still bouts of loneliness, and envy for friends with beautiful girlfriends or wives, but I relish having the power. I have the power by choosing not to put myself out there to be hurt and rejected again. For me, having control is far better than all the humiliation and emasculation I endure for the extremely slight chance of love.

I'm devoting myself to my art and my career and a life on my terms, and if a woman ever comes along, she'll have to deal with how i do things, or take a long walk off a short pier. I'm in total control, and it's quite empowering.

I suggest any other lonely, aching hearts give it a try.

I used to get mopey and envious of guys with hot gfs for far too long until I realized that you can get with a hot girl for much cheaper than any dating seminar, dinner, or dating site membership would ever cost. For 200 you easily get a girl who is a nine or ten on the looks scale and feel like a king.

I can totally relate to how you are all feeling. I often question myself and call myself a "no good piece of scum" for not having a girlfriend and I'm 21 years old. I feel like people will look at me weird. Im in AA and have been working a program and am working with my therapist on issues, but it is still hard. I am trying so hard to not fall into the pity me or super egotystical man because I often fall into those two categories.

I dont know if any of you can understand, I have this motto in my head that I'm trying to destroy, its as follows "I cant win... just cant win..".

However everyday I try and practice with girls a day. It is hard for me to continuously do it because I get so warn out quickly... I made a girl laugh earlier today really hard in class and i was working with her on this social psychology thing. She looks like she's already goin out with someon but don't know for sure. I'm just gonna treat her like she's goin out with someone already and have no expectations.

You've heard of tjhe book great expectations? How about no expectations haha

You're not alone, getting a girlfriend is harder than graduating college(at least for me it is).I have a very hard time trusting anyone so that doesn't exactly help. At the same time, being too trustworthy can mean being taken advantage of so I don't have to worry about that. I just haven't been to the right places yet I suppose.

I'm a girl but I'm 20 and a virgin, been single for over a year and that's bad enough for me.
