Has a woman or man been attracted to you because they thought you were an as*hole or because they thought you were being a smart ass even though you werent trying to be and they really just misunderstood you?

Yes, that's pretty much why everyone who isn't attracted to me based on my appearance is attracted to.

'Not trying to be'?

If they thought I was an @ssh*le, there was no misunderstanding.

But I would hope men who are attracted to @ssh*les would look elsewhere. I don't roll like that. 8O

No, but the idea amuses me. The disappointment when they realise you are really a nice person with terrible social skills and a dodgy sense of humour.

I know this isn't exactly on topic, but people have respected me in school after i'd been crude, or rude about things in general by accident.

Example: When I was a kid we were asked to write something that annoyed us and put it in a box and the teacher read them out.

I wrote "People who are up themselves" meaning snobby people but I didn't realise it had a very rude literal meaning and everyone laughed and thought I was cool when the teacher read it out

Well of course there are people who are attracted to as*holes. Why else would anal sex be so popular? :P

But I did have a woman come on to me the other day after provoking me while I was in a bad mood. I said some pretty mean things to her and some other people and she ended up asking for my number. :?

No one has ever told me they were attracted to me because I behaved like an as*hole. However, there have been a few times when I was highly bothered by someone or a group of someones and purposefully behaved rudely or coldy only to have a someone suddenly take a romantic interest in me. In a few cases, I asked why on earth they were interested in me and was basically told, it was because I was so cold, hard to get, and uninterested in everyone around me that it was cool, sexy, and/or mysterious. O_o

As a society in general, we tend to view as*holes as just strong people, or something like that (why do you see certain NT girls go after as*holes romantically all the time)?

I've got a thing for girls who can appear to be slightly off-beat, slightly cynical.

Arguably. In junior high and high school, I'd sometimes attract very insecure girls who saw me as some kind of sarcastic rebel who didn't care about being liked by popular girls or cute boys. Well, I can have a harsh sense of humor, and I have different views on things, but mostly I'm inept and I've never had much romantic interest in boys.
