so lately, i have been feeling very confident, i have always been the class clown and i can stand on stage and act, but with the dating scene iv always been to nervous to ask someone out, but lately i have suddenly gotten really confident, and comfortable with flirting, but why?

You don't need to give your age but just curious, are you in high school? 20s? 30s? 40s? 50s? And I'd be interested in hearing you dig a little deeper and provide further introspection if you don't mind. Just wondering what has changed... so it's largely an internal shift you think? Or is it completely unexplainable?

It's that "social battery" thing - use it while it lasts. Personally, I have never cared enough to approach girls and start flirting. I'm rather heavy too, so combined with my social skills I would undoubtedly get shot down a lot.

Maybe it's because you have a gf? Sometimes, being in a relationship suddenly ups your social currency. It's weird, but true.

Hey, you know what they say: don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Use the extra confidence you got to your personal advantage as much as you can, without hurting others, that is. Don't worry about where it came from, just extract the value from it.

Then what are you doing here? Use your gift and spread joy to the world! :D
