here a quick search I did on that stupid plentyoffish site : click here ....click on 'search' above.



I was skimming the profiles and I noticed that most of them describe themselves as outgoing people who love clubbing , partying , travelling , 'GOING CRAZY', shopping, team sporting ...etc etc

Not all of them , of course, but I skimmed at least 7 pages and noticed such pattern.


I always wondered , if the one is that outgoing and that much into outgoing lifestlye then why he/she would be seeking a date on an online dating site in the first place ??

If you notice, most of the women on there are unattractive or at the most average or ok looking. They go out, but other than guys trying to use them for sex, they don't get guys wanting to be their boyfriend...at least the guys they want (the hot guys.) So they go on plentyoffish hoping there's a desperate hot guy (a contradiction in terms) that will "like them for them" and look past their appearance.

Tell me about it. My ex is bragging about what she's got a month after we broke up and she's like 60lbs overweight. I'm on the low-middle range of healthy weight and single.

It's true! I guess they have an amazing sense of humor or are fantastic in the sack or something. *keeping hopes up*

One thing I notice is that practically nobody on that website seems to be able to spell or use grammar correctly.

You gotta figure a certain personality type is going to post there -- extroverted, outgoing, self-confident, thrill-seeking -- those kind of people like going to clubs, going out, etc. So the membership is self-selecting. It's not like you're going to see a lot of wallflowers posting on there about liking to sit in their room playing WoW all day or reading the encyclopedia (much as both actually do sound more interesting to me).

some pages like that are just a front, and the profiles are scams to lure people in. Many sites that are not well known, sites for dating and sexual relationships are to fool people to give up delicate information in chats or if the person lives close by it might even lead to robbing.

sorry to be so negative, but there are many stories like this about crappy date sites.
So if the profiles all look the same and have crappy spelling, like written by a foreigner then I would watch my back.

Well I have a profile and met a woman through that website. We aren't dating but we are friends and are in fact going out tonight. It's not all bad...

because all theyre getting from the clubs is one night stands who kick them out like worthless crap the next day.

girls usually get bfs faster (than their ex guys) after the break up....

i always thought it was the other way round. men seem to do the whole rebound thing alot more and tend to desperately seek for some kind of replacement asap. from my experience anywho...

Same. My ex rebounded in 2 weeks and here I am, 1 year and a half later and still lonely. :/
