2 descisions and only one guy; Me X(

One of my friends asked me to go to the winter ball and possibly senior prom with her. Yet at the same time, I have an interest in another girl still. I told the first one (my best friend) that it was too early to decide and that I need some time to think. The second girl probably dosen't know that I have an interest in her, but we get along great, we chat on facebook, and she does smiles a lot (similar to the first girl except I contact her when I want to chat. For right now, the first one has agreed to wait. So pretty much I'm stuck between two choices. Oh boy.

Well... does the first friend like you? Do you like her? Could you like her if she did like you?

If you're sure its a completely platonic/friendship asking, then just ask the second girl, and if she says no go with your friend, if she says yes, I'm sure your friend'll understands, because you're trying to get a date... (IF she asked because your friends and not because she likes you)

if she likes you... well, if she's your best friend and you have some interest in her, than maybe you should go with her... could turn into something more and you already know you're somewhat compatible...

I don't know, definitely a hard choice, but you do have time, and its good that she agreed to wait... maybe ask her why she asked you? Of course, you could always go to winterball now with her while working up courage to ask the other girl for senior prom... that is, if things don't change between that time period...

But I kinda think you owe your friend an explanation or something... like find out why she asked, and (maybe, depending on why she asked) mention that theres another girl you're interested and would like to go out with her to it... maybe... :X
