than making my girlfriend smile (=

the doc says the chemotherapy she's going through has a pretty good chance of making her infertile. & she's sad about that because one of her big dreams was to become a mother. I told her that i hope it doesn't leave leave her infertile and that even if it did, we could always adopt someday instead. & then she said she was gonna cry, and i asked her why, and she said that though part of it was because she was depressed, the other part was because she was really happy to have me. And i just felt so warm inside, and just wanted to hold her and give her kisses, and was just so glad that i could make her happy, and when i think about her i just get this feeling of fierce love, cuddly feelings, and a protectiveness. She's my world =D <3

(and then go and cry into a pillow out of my own loneliness...)

In any case, good for you (and yes, i mean that). I wish i could make a special lady friend smile, but as it stands, that's impossible...

I have gone through several chemo's, I froze in a batch just in case I get infertile.
Maybe an idea?

she prolly might've "frozen a batch" if she'd thought about the possibility of infertility beforehand, but at this stage it might be a bit too late wouldn't it since she's already started the chemo wouldn't it :? :?:

Also, "freezing a batch" is a bit easier for guys, we can pump one out whenever we want.
Not quite so for girls.

Although, it still might be worth looking into, so thanks for the idea :)

She's really lucky to have you, Sean. My thoughts are with you both, and I hope you both come through this successfully.

Take care, guys. :D

It doesn't have to be that way forever. IMO, anyone with that avatar has to be one cool guy. :)

My well wishes go out to your girlfriend, I'm glad she has you there to love and support her during this time.

Yeah I forgot to mention that in my little emo tailspin above (long story and i dont want to derail your thread with it). The fact that you're standing by her in such a difficult time is something to be commended. In a world where so many people, men and women alike, are incredibly fickle and will duck and run at the slightest sign of problems, the fact that you're there for her is the highest example of love that one human being can show for another. She's a very lucky woman to have a man like you, and hopefully she would be one to realize that fact.

You'd be surprised though... i still don't understand why, but its seemingly impossible for a woman to love me. Again, as I said, I don't want to derail the OP's thread, so im not going to go into it further (pm me if you want to hear more, but most people here are fed up with it...)

Loosing her fertility, especially if it was important to her, sucks. But it could have been a lot worse...
Keep the adoption thing open as a option though.

I wish you both well. :)

ToS, you could feel you have everything going for you, or try to be the best person you could be, or see people around you who are nasty or cruel (yet are in relationships), and still not have a partner. Neither of the last two guys I liked enough romantically to consider making an attempt worked out. I have been single pretty much my whole life (aside from one brief relationship at the end of year 12). But I believe that there is rhyme and reason in existential madness, and people generally will find what they're looking for in a partner eventually so long as they stay open to it and keep trying (and these things tend to happen when you least expect it). Don't give up hope, try not to let bitterness consume you, and try to live your life in the best way you can while remaining open to anyone new who enters your life.

Sorry to derail the thread further, I'll stop here.
