Play an instrument: parents couldn't afford it XD , too late to excel such thing as adult.

Volunteer: I might join the red cross.....but seeking women as motif for volunteering and doing something for the world is stupid.

Play sport

Quote:
Hoofing a ball into the teeth of a howling gale is not glamorous or sexy, and you're unlikely to be able to rouse your lady friend to come and watch. But believe it or not, playing pub football is sending out all the right signals. In fact, so is playing any team sport

'Team sports'......I am so horrible at that!

Photograph things: They bore me!! !

Do some DIY

.....I only DIY computer-related stuff.....

Quote:
...and here's five turn-offs
Finally, here's five hobbies that are not the turn-on you think they are.

Cooking: too Jamie Oliver, too last year, and everybody's at it.
Surfing: cool, yes, but few women want to hang around on windswept British beaches.
Wine appreciation: drink it, yes, but don't bang on about the origins of the grape.
Playing records: yes, you're a DJ. Yes, you have your own decks. No, it's not the same as playing a proper instrument.
Drawing: so you want her to be your life model. No way, Picasso.

I found out this to be true for Cooking.

Stupid article by the way.

Would green home design qualify as DIY?

You could try the following to attract the ladies:

- Quantumfysics
- American/Australian Football
- Monster Truck Derby
- Weight Lifting
- Comic/Scifi Conventions

:P

If you have made some green modifications to your home, then yes, definately. Also, knowing how to make a green home is an attractive quality. (And it will make Democrats admire you, so you won't be limited to Republicans.)

What a shame - I always found a guy cooking dinner for me to be one of the sexiest things. Knowing your wine is also a bonus...

Driving an expensive car, this is the hobby women like most to see :)
@topic
When I was younger I thought about looking for an impressive hobby.
Today I think the hobby you really want to do may impress women, but only if you dont' think about it!

.

It's stupid if you are just faking an interest in the cause. But if it's something you really do believe in, there's no shame in sharing that with women. As long as you aren't faking it to attract their attention, it will be admired.

Lots of women love a hero and you don't have to be an alpha male for that. Volunteering for a cause you believe in (don't fake this) is considered a Very Good Thing.

(Yes ToadofSteel, I know you volunteer at your church and yet are girlfriendless. This is because your church doesn't have many single women in their 20's. Step outside that cocoon and you will have better luck.)

As long as it's fun I have no problem with "random crap" - it's much better then premeditated BS :P

It all depends on the sort of women you're trying to impress.

Some women are impressed by guys who know everything about cars
Some are impressed buy guys who excel at their job
Some are impressed by being good at sport
Others impressed by how much you know about a certain subject etc

Want to impress women? Make them laugh. It works on every girl, every time. Now, if you don't know or care when to stop the joke (like me) then past a certain point the novelty gets old. Oh yeah, and dancing impresses women a lot, mainly because you need self-confidence in order to dance, and women like confidence.

That's just isolated skills. The best way to impress anyone is to share common interests.
