So i going to nip the singles crys on valentines day by posting ideas for singles. Ive compiled the largest list i can but please read and add as much as possible:

V day is full of lonely people. Alot of mags say its "easy pickings" and it cuts both ways. to both genders. Im not endorsing it at all. Yes meeting people is great but wheres the honor in rebounders, the super desperate, the super vulnerable.

It’s not even a proper holiday, you don’t get a day off work.

I might pull a prank on the people at work in the day and have a laugh.

Celebrate being single and free to do whatever you want w/o having to consider a partner’s vote in any decisions! Whether small daily things like where you go and how you spend your time to bigger life decisions - it’s very liberating not to have to answer to anyone else or consider how your decisions impact them or the two of you as a couple.

Now that I have long term goals in life I’m ever happier remaining single as I wouldn’t want a relationship to distract me from pursuing my goals & Valentine’s Day will be a day to celebrate not being tied down by anyone else, their issues/wants/needs or goals etc.

Plan and cook yourself a healthy meal, and stay away from alcohol and junk food.

Love and take care of yourself, you deserve it.

In China they have a Singles day. They should have that in other countries to.

Which day is that? If enough people celebrate it it'll eventually become a thing!

As for Valentine's Day, well, in here it's called "ystävänpäivä" which directly translates to "friend's day" so it isn't usually celebrated as a romantic day (or at least I've never seen anyone do so), so no pressure for me.

I certainly won't go to the mailbox, and look for a Valentine's card from the Red-Headed girl.....

What if I have no ex?

That doesn't sound like a fun way to spend any day, so why would you plan on doing that?

November the 11th. 11/11. It's all ones. The number represents being one by oneself.

Pretty sure I will work both jobs that day since it's a big restaurant day..

I went to an anti valentines day once. Never again. It was full of people feeling sorry for themselves. Not fun!
What I normally do is watching romantic comedies, I buy a bottle of wine and some chocolate and I have a great time by myself. Why great? Because I'm free of all the hassle, compulsory gift giving etc.
I always found it a cliche to propose on Valentines day, or go to an expensive restaurant when you could spend that money on something more enjoyable and more memorable.

That's terrible! A singles day should be fun! People should use this day to celebrate themselves! Not feel sorry for themselves.
