The site "Aspie affection" seems to not have the same success as WrongPlanet has! Am I wrong? :)

Everybody here knows that relationships are very difficult. I believe that some NTs are considering the most of us as kind of puppets, because of our social skills and difficulties. They probably think that we are idiot or something like that. So, I think that some of them are "pulling strings" and manipulate us, which we don't moslty realize immediately. That is probably the case in any situation but also in Love.

FORTUNATELY, this is NOT generally the case! There are A LOT of honest NTs, I guess...
So, why most of us, whatever our age and gender, are still single, without any friends?

I see 2 (obvious) possibilities:
1. We have to overcome our difficulties to cross the boundaries of this scary "social world". Which is quite difficult...
2. Most of the NTs are not open-minded enough to take on their time to listen to us, to understand us, to understand why we behave like that in a given situation... oh dear Superficiality! :?

I've always wondered what was the difference between a "great and strong" friendship and Love?

Well, I'm 29 now, still single, having no friends, no job, doing a PhD... Hum! Okay, that's not a very good status... And I'm quite sure that a lot of aspies are living the same way. But I am quite proud of who I am, without any pretention! I love the way I see and understand the world around me, even if I have my aspie stuff! Just because I know that I am the only one to see what I see (btw, I am not crazy! :)). And I am pretty sure that a lot of you feel the same way, don't you?

Talking about relationships and all related issues, is this kind of situations more problematic for a man than it could be for a woman? (friendship, Love, lonelyness, isolation...)

If you are an aspie girl/woman or a NT one, could you tell me your feelings about all of this?
If your are an aspie guy or a NT one, could you confirm or not what I am trying to say?

Honestly, I am kind of lost. I don't even know if I am clear enough right now! :?
HELP!

By the way, if you are a single aspie or NT (open-minded) woman, interested in Sciences, Music or foreign/ancient Languages or whatever your interests, my inbox is open! (My avatar is not a picture of me because I am sooo ugly!) LOL :D
Just kidding

Anyway,
Thank you and take care :)

Aspie Affection sucks.

The main reason we have trouble making friends and such is because we suck at socialising, so we come across as rude, weird, etc, to NTs.

I've started to become more accepted at my college recently, though :)

Thank for sharing your opinion!
And about the College, I think that is good news!
:)

You are correct, several NT do not have the patience to understand this, but a few do. Don't give up hope. It may be more of a struggle, but there are those with patience.
With that being said, I am open to having a friend in france. Sadly my french skills are not that great. I can understand some written and spoken french, but I cannot write it or speak it.

You sound interesting...keep in touch.

Thank you, for your support! :)
I wanted to share my little experience and know what others are thinking.
I am glad to see that you share a part of my opinion.

Thank you (again). You know, talking french is not so important. The essential is that we can communicate and share our experiences or difficulties :)
Of course, it is always a pleasure to keep in touch with others :)

If you have any questions, or if you want to talk about any topic, do not hesitate.
You can also send me PM without any problem :)

Take care :)
