This is a tough one

Guy A.) Regular looking facially. However, he is really built, had a degree, and makes good money. He is a good guy and willing to change his personality accordingly. In addition, he is a hard worker.

Guy B.) REALLY good looking facially, like a model. However, he has a mediocre job. He sometimes feel's he can get by on his natural good looks.

Go.

Most girls will date guy B in their 20's and marry guy A in their 30's.

I'm not a girl, but I would choose neither one. A guy that changes his personality a lot? Schizophrenics don't strike my fancy. I like people that are consistently themselves...but that's just me. The other traits are good though, good money, hard worker, but it's way too simplistic. Plenty of schizophrenics are good workers, I'm sure.

Sorry, neither one.

A is willing to change his personality? Not possible. Run away.

B is gorgeous = spoiled rotten. Run away.

How about C - decent appearance, we click, we enjoy & respect each other.

Except guy A has the option to date women who are 25 at age 35.

I have two defined options and asked you to pick one. When someone creates a survey, it defeats the purpose if you just randomly add another option. So, I am essentially asking if you had NO other choice between the two.

There are essentially an INFINITE number of types of men. Short, fat, bald you name it. However, I asked you to pick between the two reasonably defined options( I can define them more if you like) on that infinite scale.

So, keeping that in mind.....

My apologies also! In that regard, based on the only TWO choices, I would have to agree with sacrip and say that most women would date B in their youth and settle down/have a family with A.

Personally based on where I am in my life, I would choose man A. Looks are subjective, so I wouldn't necessarily put a lot of stock in someones appearance.

Never Guy B b/c I can't stand anyone who thinks they can do whatever they want b/c of their looks. I'd pick Guy A if he didn't need/want sex & did NOT change his overall personality... I'm fine with recognizing and trying to correct faults (drink less, listen more etc.) but I'd never want someone to change who they are overall and become someone else.

Pretty sure most men want sex. Otherwise, why would one get married? Yes there are other reasons. However, if a guy didn't want sex, why wouldn't he just remain friends with a women? What would be the purpose of any sort of relationship at all? This logic applies to women as well.

Also, if someone had a trait about their personality that you found unbearable, would you not want them to change a little for the sake of the relationship?

Also, I am not trying to be a jerk. Just finding problems with some of the stuff you guys say that doesn't make sense.

It's one thing to change a small trait rather than a characteristic.

ffs. Do all women judge on status, looks and material wealth? I'd like to think that there's a few who dont and one of them will be the girl for me.

Well, no. At least, I certainly don't. But, as you will see from the earlier replies from the OP, we women are being asked specifically about these two fictional men: "you had NO other choice between the two."

Personally, being good looking has no bearing on if a man is a good person, kind hearted, genuine, etc. But, we HAD to choose between the two, and unfortunately the OP chose to bring looks into the discussion, so that's what some people would focus on. I think that the descriptions of these hypothetical men were quite vague, so I doubt any woman would be able to choose either one effectively based on the little information we've been given.

I disagree. I think good looks have some element to the dating factor. Are they everything? Of course not. Just like the cheese in a pizza isn't the only thing that makes it good.

i agree with you OP that looks, status and money probably matter to quite a few women and men but not all. Besides, apart from plastic surgery theres not alot you can do to change yr appearance that drastically and as most aspies are unemployed, money and status seeking women aren't gonna be the ladies for us either.
