40, female, diagnosed officially this year, and most significant relationship so far is with a turtle. So, yes, there are unmarried female aspies 40-55 years of age living in the United States.

Yeah, am here. Not on the market. (Been there, done that.)

The age of consent varies from state to state in the USA, so yeah, under 16 just misses. Alabama 16 Alaska 16 Arizona 18 Arkansas 16 California 18 Colorado 17 Connecticut 16 D.C. 16 Delaware 18 Florida 18 Georgia 16 Hawaii 16 Idaho 18 Illinois 17 Indiana 16 Iowa 16 Kansas 16 Kentucky 16 Louisiana 17 Maine 16 Maryland 16 Massachusetts 16 Michigan 16 Minnesota 16 Mississippi 16 Missouri 17 Montana 16 Nebraska 17 Nevada 16 New Hampshire 16 New Jersey 16 New Mexico 17 New York 17 North Carolina 16 North Dakota 18 Ohio 16 Oklahoma 16 Oregon 18 Pennsylvania 16 Rhode Island 16 South Carolina 16 South Dakota 16 Tennessee 18 Texas 17 Utah 18 Vermont 16 Virginia 18 Washington 16 West Virginia 16 Wisconsin 18 Wyoming 18

Aspie. Does it show?

Why are you asking the question, and why would you guess no?

I'm one. I've had two long term relationships -- the last one ended recently.

Most people age 40-55 grew up BEFORE Asperger's diagnosis in children was commonplace. I have had trouble finding a diagnosis, much less therapy.

I have never had a romantic relationship. Unless you can say the same thing at my age you have NOT walked a mile in my shoes.

I'm also sure that most Asperger's people age 40-55 have been (Mis?)diagnosed with depression and given meds that make one gain weight like I have, therefore making you unappealing to the opposite (or if you are that way, same) sex.

I would LOVE to hear from ANYONE 40+ who has never been in a romantic relationship. Chances are there's something else BESIDES Asperger's or being extremely picky that stood in the way.
