I've noticed several men on this forum aren't interested in sex but would like a relationship with a girl nonetheless. Is this still classed as wanting a sexual relationship or having a sexual interest in girls, or should we find a different name, such as "Romantic interest"? To me it seems silly to class it as sexual when sex isn't really a priority for them.

I believe that is considered asexuality. I'm no expert on the subject, though. I'm sure someone else can enlighten us.

I'm not overall interested in sex, but I'm also not asexual. If it happens, it happens. But the important thing for me is to find the relationship. I'd rather have a sexless yet meaningful relationship than casual, meaningless sex, but if a meaningful relationship that happens to involve sex comes around, so much the better (At least, as long as the woman isn't going to judge me for my lack of experience)...

Thats the same as saying "To me it's silly not to class it as ham when it's actually a hamster"
Basically, because the word "sex" is in asexual, it does not mean the word is inappropriate to describe in this case. I dunno, maybe I read it wrong.

I think it would be asexual, as a few have mentioned on this thread. I'm AS, but I'm definintely not asexual. I could never be in an asexual relationship with a woman. I would go bonkers.

Asexual is the term - little or no interest in sex or a sexual relationship.

Like so many other sexualities it can encompass a wide range of wants, some have zero interest in sex or any sort of romantic relationship and never find anyone attractive, some have little interest in sex - be it intercourseor all sex acts, some asexual people will be very sexual and just not want sex or not want a relationship, some are open to sex and some are not, some are attracted to same sex, opposite sex or both both go no further.

It's a little like bisexuality - it's not as black and/or white as 'no sex/no relationship' for all asexual people, it's still a sexuality whether there is actual sex involved or not - relationships for such people can still be sexual on some level, if nothing else it is a relationship of partnership between people of two sexes/two sexualities.

I used to consider myself asexual (sexual, attracted to both sexes, only didn't want sex), my ex boyfriend is asexual (relationship with women, but no sex), and my boyfriends best friend is asexual (no interest in anyone for anything, not even relationship).
