Valentines Day has always meant precisely 3/5ths of bugger-all to me. Don't understand what love is, probably never will. Don't understand it, don't understand why/how people get in relationships.

Yeah, you have to get it from overseas here. But there are some cheap things. She could have gotten some edible massage lotion or something.

I bought a chocolate rose for Valentine's day. My wife is hinting...

No she is not hinting. She came right out and said that wants a romantic card and a present and to be taken out for lunch.

Well, it ain't gonna happen. Not because I don't love her but I am not going to be conned by some commercial "Hallmark Holiday".

Funny how it never occurs to her that perhaps she should buy ME a present.

I have boycotted Valentine's Day for more than a decade.

@abaisse

You look pretty..

To the topic.. I think Valentine's day is just another day for corporations to jack people for more money that they do not have..

My one ex used to be pissed off that i wouldn't get anything for her on valentine's day. The thing is I don't understand.. You show someone you love them all the time, why do you have to go on some stupid day that everyone says that your supposed to show you love them, buy some stupid ass flowers for 30 bucks and some stupid ass candy to say you love them?

Shouldn't it just be i love you all these other days and showed you that I do, but since i don't want to participate in a corporation ripping me for something you obviously should know, shouldn't that be enough?

Really I really don't understand it.

I'd like to take credit for being pretty, but it's actually my favorite painting. :D
