what's wrong with just asking?
if they said no, it's a lot of effort wasted.

Damn... I wish I could be that creative.

The only problem is, however, that ME? is a level 71 Pidgey. It knows Gust, Sand-Attack, Quick Attack, and Fly.

It might be any of several bird Pokemon actually. The first games only had a handful of stock graphics on the lineup screen. The generic looking one that there's four of was the graphic for like half the Pokemon in the game. That said, it might be Mewtwo and 3 other badass Pokemon, or it might be four Rattatas leveled up with the infinite rare candy glitch.

I think I would say "No thank you" to that. Creative? Yes. My type? No.
I like people to be as direct as possible. I interpret something like that as complicating something that should be very simple.
I like a guy who can say, "Would you like to have dinner with me?"

Creative, however the woman (me) is not thrilled.

I don't know what the Elite 4 is, and my idea of quality time with a guy isn't playing a video game with him.

I don't like Pokemon and I regard it on the same level as Sponge Bob, which I have to admit is a creative cartoon but I would hope my potential suitor be a little more sophisticated than that.

A better way to apply these skills, in my opinion, would be to choose a better video game to do it to, or at least something with romantic undertones like Aladdin, and don't mention anything about making her a character so she can game with you on your team.

All you need is a properly leveled Mewtwo to get through the Elite Four. Even if you come across anything that resists psychic, Mewtwo will mop the floor with them.

As for me, I had a lineup consisting of Venusaur, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, and Gyarados. All level 100. My Gyarados had Thunderbolt (via a TM found in the early game). All of those easily turned anything that Gary and the Elite Four threw at me into frickin' GLASS.
