I know its not the case for all females, or all males.. but when you grind it down.. it really seems like this.

Image

Therefore males have a more complicated time looking at all the buttons a woman has. Some may argue, but from what i've seen and experienced, it seems to be true.

If dad wants a present, he will ask for it. If mum wants one, she will say "Oh don't get me anything" then cry for 3 hours when he doesn't. Just one example.

The number of men who can't put up with a woman in tears is alarming - and trust me i've cried enough in front of people to know this is fact. Also the number of women who get mad over signals and alternative meanings that "should" be picked up.

So in other words, it's all about knowing how to press a partner's buttons?

BTW, those look more like dials than buttons.

Do you mean in general, i.e. including AS populations or for NTs or for just aspies? I just get the feeling it's got to do with empathy and social understanding, though I may be wrong, and I'd assume on that basis AS women aren't much better than AS men.

This must not count for us Nerds,
mine would have 10x the amount
of buttons, dials, and 5 digit
decimal digital indicators
than is on both halves of that thing.

My cousins camera has 3 or 4 buttons,
a point and shoot camera.

Mine has focus, white balance, aperature,
zoom, fire, shutter speed, macro, and
save functions settings.

Not that one is "better than" the other,
mine is better for me, because it works
best for me, my cousin's is better for
her because it works best for her.

Girlfrends I have had in the past have
had mixed reactions, I usually respond
to tears with tears, its is how I am.

With my late wife, if she fell and busted
up her knee, I cood not help be sad and
cry when I was babbnnbdageing up
her knee making it heal, but she did
not mind, she knew it is just how I
am made and she knew its because
also because I loved her and hated
see her be hurt, after I got her knee
bandaged up,m we kissed and I made
fart and poop noises to make her laugh
and I did the HippoButt Dance and
she fell over laffing her butt off,
she was the only one who understood me
the best.

My X firlgrend Sewer did not know how to respond I guess,
if she cried about something, I cried because
she was hurting, sometimes she just hugged
me and told me she was ok, other times she
goes "Oh stop." like a uncaring poopyhole,
I did not understand her.

I tend to hurt if someone I love hurts, it is just
how I am and I guess it confused some women
I was with at the time, but told others that
I cared. Not that I can control it very well,
it just happens.

I think what she's saying is women are more complex in the context of social beings (I'm paraphrasing/making a generalization) and it's hard for men to keep up with all their social stuff. And for aspie men, That would be 10x harder.

It basically means women are more complicated beings emotionally, thats why mostly women are accused of "mind games" because their minds don't work as straightforward as men.

I have to admit (guility) that I have played such games. Someone i was with at the time blatently perved at my flatmate in front of me and it pissed me off and I went quiet and slept on the couch, then told him the next day it would only take me a couple of hours to get over him (a lie)

I'd actually reverse those two machines. The one with all the buttons made more sense to me because I can play with each one and figure out how to set it just right to get the desired effect through trial and error. The other one more resembles a woman because I hit the switch and I have no idea what the hell it's going to do.

The machines are supposed to be a man and a woman.. not what they do.
Woman has many buttons and dials that need to be pushed and twisted in exactly the right way. Men usually are less complicated.

There are several problems with your m/fm picture. It is sooooo out of date. Knobs, buttons and switches died out long ago. It's time to modernize a bit. For starters, there should be a remote control for both sexes, with the m unit having only an on/off button. Note that the m units also run a Linux OS, so they are reliable and never crash.

The fm unit has a display with lots of drop down menu's, forming a VERY complex tree structure, but unfortunately, one that has lots of loops and feedback as well. There is also a mode that frequently shows up, where no inputs of any kind will be accepted. Attempts at input only result in an occasional error message and sometimes even the blue screen of death. Yes, the fm unit runs uSoft OS, so it crashes frequently for no apparent reason. (This is all clearly to insure that us guy's can't get from here to there. :( Well, it usually seems that this is the case.)

[ Hmmm, I bet I get some "interesting" comments on this post :D ]

On a real synth you just go straight for the filter cutoff and resonance pots... so that's my advice on dealing with women.

You hit the nail right on the head with this one.

Women drive my f*cking crazy by saying one thing and meaning the complete opposite and then crying (or in the case of my ex, screaming at me).

Is it so hard to just say what you mean?

I really want to please her, but if she plays games like this she has no one to blame but herself if she is misunderstood - maybe that's why I'm chronically single?

Do NT men know the code any better?

Generally speaking, I agree with this image, even though I'm the exception to it.

Actually, I was thinking the other day how my roommate is much more like a woman in this respect, and I'm much more like a man.

Here is a clip from "That 70's show," in which Hyde portrays situations I frequently find myself in with my roommate.

The reason why I chose the Prius to represent the aspie guy is that a Prius is seen as odd, awkward, ugly(or cute), and it tries too hard at what it does. And the Civic Hybrid(you can tell by the wheels and mirrors) blends in, like most aspergirls. And just like how a Prius will show a dramatic drop in performance when its hybrid battery depletes, and it's a piss poor handing car, the aspie male is weak, timid and afraid to put his foot down.

The other night Mythbusters did a show testing the "beer google" effect. They had 2 guys and 1 woman rate a series of photos of people (Hot-or-Not style) while sober, and then while progressively drunk.

The guys' comment was basically, "yeah, I do seem to rate people as more attractive when I'm drunk."

The woman's comment was, "When I was sober, I was definitely thinking the confident looking people looked sort of attractive. And then as I was buzzed, they looked cocky. And then as I got drunker, I was sort of thinking that the people who were attractive were the more vulnerable looking people, the more sadder characters. They looked cuter. "

At that point the narrators says, "And that's why men will never, ever guess what a woman is thinking."
