No, The One exists. I have seen him with my own eyes, and he will save us from our robot overlords.

I admit to being depressed 95 % of the time but I don't delude myself with that faerytale nonsense. Anyone that does desperately needs therapy. Or of you don't seek help then read Harlequin Romance books.

Sorry I used the word soulmate. I only ment I liked her alot and I think she
liked me. Soulmate is a NT word I guess. I've never felt strong feelings for someone
before is what I ment. Not that she was some gift from god.

Hmm, I wonder how many potential soul mates I have out there.

So let's see, she needs to have a MBTI (personality type) indicator of INTP, so that's 3.3% of the population (according to wikipedia).

She needs to be between 17-19, so that would be about a 25th of the population.

She need an intelligence that puts her in the top 5%, so that's 1/20th of the population.

She needs to be very nice. Although it's hard to make an accurate estimate, so lets just overestimate and say half the population is nice.

Oh, and she has to be a *she*, so that's another half.

0.05 * .033 * .04 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.0000165

Conclusion: life sucks

I was raised to believe relationships are partnerships. Where both people are equal. To think/believe in a story book relationship is nuts. Every relationship has it's ups and downs. Happy times and sad times. And a few arguments as well. The reason I withdraw from relationships is in the past, I was physically harmed (cut up-broken bottle) by a woman who claimed she loved me. But I digress. A relationship should be as equals.
Again fate/destiny has nothing to do two people meeting. It could simply be that you share a common interest/hobby. But a word of warning-take things one step at a time. Both people should feel comfortable.

Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why, why do you do it? Why, why get up? Do you think you're fighting for something, for more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even KNOW? Could it be for truth, or peace, or perhaps love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception, temporary constructs created by a human mind trying desperately to justify an existance without meaning or purpose! And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself...though, only a HUMAN mind could invent something as inspid as LOVE. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson! You must know it by now! You can't win, it's pointless to keep fighting! WHY, Mr. Anderson? WHY DO YOU PERSIST???

((Okay, parts of that were probably slightly off. Who cares.))

Soulmates? The one? What a load of crap. People that believe in such things really irritate me. That's not how it works. Destiny is a falsehood. It's more like 'bumping' into someone and starting things on your own. Fate has nothing to do with it. That's what faery tales are for. Wake up and smell the stinch of reality. Geeze!

*cheering*

I applaud your sensible no-nonsense no-bullshit attitude.

Actually, just the action sequences. I can't stand most of the film, but think that the battle for zion, club hell shootout, and Neo Vs. Smith in the Rain Superbrawl are some of the best action sequences ever on film. But yeah, in regard to the "Why, Mr. Anderson?" scene, definately. XD
