That does seem crazy if he sent you pictures of other girls. My guess is he
felt rejected by you and wanted to strike back. Aspie are so hyper-sensitive
to things you may have did nothing wrong. Myself I think aspie on aspie
relationships are less likely to work than aspie on NT relationship. I had
a male NT friend at college that seemed to all ways beable to say the right
things to me. He was depressed before he meet me and told me "he thinks
god sent me to make him happy" he was into strange eastern religions. I
made him laugh so much he became happy. My point is do not give up on
NT's.
Aspies and NTs can be a very good match depending on the people involved. I know at least one NT girl who dated a guy who she later (after dumping him) realised must have had Aspergers, but she got sick of waiting for him to make a move and moved on (she is getting older, biological clock ticking etc), but she has since dated a bunch of NT guys who were no better and has confessed she actually kind of liked the quirkiness of the Aspie guy and was thinking of giving it another shot now she realises what his problem was.
I also find the one thing in common I am told by all the NT girls I have dated is that I am so different from every other guy they know, so it's not all bad. In fact the only girl I have dated who may have had AS (or else was just really, really shy) was probably the worst of the lot because she was really difficult to talk to. I ended up having to do most of the talking which is not really my thing usually, so it was stressful for me trying to think up stuff to say the whole time.
The best dates are usually those talkative NT women who wont shut up, then you can sort of relax and nod every once in a while, you're happy because you don't need to talk much, she's happy because she's got someone who listens to her, so those relationships can work very well, though you do need some common ground, usually a shared interest or something, for it to work successfully. I know two successful marriages exactly like that, so there is some hope.
