i play world of warcraft, and through a online friend i found someone who i end up now liking and she likes me. but shes going through a lot right now with no job, lost roommate for housing, leukemia. she said when i tried to ask her about "a guy in her life" that she rather wait till she got over leukemia, and if she didnt have it she would. which makes sense after some thinking (if it goes south, one more thing to bring her down). shes living at her moms so we txt a lot (phone calls drop a lot). (she is in the next state over, not far)

my questions are:
how long is leukemia treatment? (not sure on which type she has)
and how to pass the time? (how often to text, so im not annoying)

It can go for years and she may die.
The chemo treatments will make all her hair fall out.

She really needs a friend right now if you are up to the emotional strain.

to me she is worth the wait, hair regrows and doesn't change who you are. the fact i might be with her, is worth the emotional strain

Oh wow, that is so sweet..The last post :-D

I just wanted to say that.Other than that, I agree with the poster above. It is what it is but I do believe she does need a friend.Perhaps its a difficult situation and she doesnt want to get your hopes up if bad things happen but be a friend and see.

You should possibly come to an acceptance that no sustainable long-lasting relationship will come from your bond, make the most of it whilst it lasts and support her emotionally if you feel you're up to it. Generally when it comes to texting girls, you don't want to appear too clingy or desperate, text her briefly and just make general chitchat, the more deeper chats are better in person in my opinion.

Not everyone loses their hair on chemo, but it's a possibility.

If I'm not mistaken, more than 60% of those diagnosed with leukemia will die of it,
and this figure is HEAVILY conservative due to the relatively successful treatment of those who develop it as children, not adults.

Wolfheart gives sound advice.
It's entirely plausible, if not PROBABLE that this disease will claim her life.
You should be striving to be as good a friend as you can possibly be to her.
