Have you folks ever thought about or considered this approach with a woman at a public place? One of your best friends (male or female) who is a good wingman introduces you to someone attractive that they have never met before? This approach (I posted the video in a thread earlier this week) puts both people in an awkward position and both people have to think on their feet, which I think would level out the anxiety between two people. Thoughts on this approach?

I think it would only work at settings wherein people are predisposed to meeting the opposite sex such as bars, clubs and parties. I would not try this at the mall, supermarket or gym where I think most women would simply reply no and get away as fast as she can.

it would work for people with approach anxiety, but after the initial introduction, the 'responsibility' still falls back to you.
this means that there is no real advantage if you are usually awkward or have no idea how to talk to women, although it will get you over the biggest hurdle: saying the first word
