How old were you when you first went on a real date?

I was fifteen and my boyfriend took me to a Chinese restaurant. Our relationship ended a while ago (and I've had a couple of boyfriends since), but I can never get tired of that restaurant! So like the title says, how old were you when you went on your first real date?

I made it to university without any hint of an individual social life (Not counting various village events which were communal and virtually compulsory)

Haven't had a "real" date for about ten years.

15. She asked me to play tennis with her. She became my first girlfriend. She said my mother didn't like her because her skirts were too short. I think maybe she was right. Come to think of it, she was also my first girl, later, at 16. Turned me on to a lot of other stuff too. I sure was geeky back then.

15. We were in the same group of friends, although she was one of the few people in it I didn't know very well. Eventually I heard from a friend of mine who was also a friend of hers that she found me attractive. I took up the opportunity and asked her out. We then went out for three months, at the end of which I let her go. I think I realised soon after that I don't have what it takes to sustain a relationship. Since then I've had no other dates, and I don't intend on getting any.

The thing is, I wasn't attracted to her at all. But at the time, the notion of going out on a real date seemed way more important than the girl's looks.

i asked her three days before i turned 20 we went to Dave and Busters on my 20th birthday.
we are currently seeing each other.

Yeah. I suck.


But it was also the first time I asked. Is this good (that I wasn't rejected) or bad (because I waited so damn long)?

I started getting asked out by girls when I was 14 or 15 but they were too immature for me at the time, despite being the same age.
