Dunno, seems like another set of stereotypes. The 'waiting for 3-4 months before taking the relationship seriously' advice at the end is good though (imo) regardless of gender- though not perhaps as a way of 'hooking' someone- just as a milestone to know when to get the hell out.

I'm not but all the guys I dated are. Kinda makes me want to poison the well of "Guyland" so these guys are forced to face reality and actually care for their partners.

The question is why there is such a shortage of women in "Girlland"--women who "are obsessed with never wanting to grow up and crave video games (or games in general), sports and depersonalised sexual relationships. " Particularly the "depersonalized sexual relationships" one.

Because we mature faster? And it's considered taboo for a girl to enjoy depersonalised sexual relationships. :/

I'm still amazed, though, how little being on the spectrum seems to hold women back from maturing. I'd have expected to find heaps of women on the spectrum who are still 5 or 10 inside, but there seem to be so few. Though sometimes I think I underestimate how much women are forced to mature if they want to be anybody in the world.

We are forced to mature. I used to play videogames all the time and never care about the real world. Then college happened. I was forced to care about my looks and prepare for my future. I'm not allowed to be a kid anymore. Women are judged harshly for their actions, sometimes more than what men are. :/

I sometimes get confused between the ideas of acting and feeling mature. I somehow wonder how much being forced to act mature, or even deciding of one's own free will to act mature, actually can make a person feel mature. By that I mean, it seems like the average adult wouldn't even want to constantly indulge their curiosity or run around or exhibit other childlike mannerisms even if it were acceptable to do so. Though maybe I'm assuming there's a fundamental change in brain function, where all that's really going on is people learning by imitation how to come across seamlessly like an adult.

Oh, and I hope your surgery didn't go too badly last Friday. When I had mine taken out, the holes actually healed surprisingly quickly. The worst part was having to hold the absorbent cotton things in my mouth for a few hours afterward.

I hated the cotton wads. >.<

I'm still a bit swollen but that's about it.

Ha ha, it's not "guyland". I live there and I'm a female.

I stayed up until 9am playing video games last night.

What's so mature about not living life the way you want to? As long as someone supports themself they can do whatever they want.

This article is just about women feeling entitled to make men live how they want them too.

LOL

I'm stuck in a different kind of "guyland", unfortunately. At work, there are only other guys around, in my social circle, there are only other guys, my hobbies/interests only attract other guys. Other than ordering food from a female waitress, or something like that, I can't even remember the last time I spoke with a female I wasn't related to.
