Noticed a trend?

Yes, most of the girls on my okcupid's homepage are from a country which we are in a state of war with , it's always the case, Israeli girls pop up in my quickmatches and everywhere else, I would estimate that the total number of active Leb girls there are barely about 5% of the active Israeli girls.

It's useless for my case, real life is a much better bet.

Is it that Israeli girls are far more likely to use OKCupid than Lebanese girls? Or is it that what you list is somehow similar to what they list so you get matched?

Utterly pointless for you in any case.

What happens if you do a match-narrowing to specify that you only want to be shown Lebanese girls? Does it just come up blank?

I always do (in the search engine), there are only about 15 active Lebanese girls, half of them are way older.

and for more irony, even the quiver is picking me Israeli girls EVERY TIME (I remove them all only to find other 3 in the next day).

Is there a way where you can block people from a particular place? In cases of war, that may help. >.>

Aren't they sorted by geographical location? God forbid Israelis and *Syrians* appear in the same search.

^ umm, there's not much of Syrian population on okcupid, I recall encountering only one profile.

Sure, if I specify the region in the search or if I just put 'within 50 miles' only Leb girls would appear in the search (in fact my default search is set to 50 miles yet the Israelis keep appearing on my home page and quiver).

For example within 50 miles:

Voilà, as usual, the same one girl who's not my type and who doesn't accept a guy under 30 anyways .





but once I put "within 100 miles" (there's no between 50 and 100 miles option) :

Wow, that's ridiculous. Is online dating not accepted where you live or something? You'd think there'd be more than one profile within 50 miles of you. That's sad.

Ah, okay. I don't know what I would do if OkCupid only gave me 3 profiles and I wasn't compatible with any of them. D:
